Seems to be a big close family. It must be very hard to get to grips with this.
They seemed to be very anxious and worried about her right from Tuesday.
Very very sad.

When I read the headline I thought it was about the recent Manchester murder as the guy who did that jumped out the window also.

So much evil going on in this country.

What kind of fcking animals do we have here.

I feel so sorry for the relatives of his victim. There is no possible way that justice can be served as a result.

Fncking piece of murdering sh1t.

Her family will get no closure now, he wouldn't even afford them that basic courtesy.

Closure is not about revenge. It's about understanding the how, when, why and what. It's incredibly difficult to have a family member die without someone they love nearby. Even worse when you've been denied any knowledge of her state of mind when she died, and the person who killed her providing nothing in the way of an explanation.

You will naturally assume the worst; that she has died terrified and in agony. Even knowing whether that's true or not can help you move on. Not knowing makes it way harder to get past the death.

But surely the pathologist's investigstion could determine a lot of those things - how stressed she was at time of death, evidence of defensive wounds, whether she had been drugged etc etc.

It won't tell them why and if they don't already have a motive then that's the question which will burn away at them forever.

Any evidence is still qualified guesswork though, right? Someone who slipped off a steep hill to their death would probably be in something of a similar state to someone who was brutally beaten; both in terms of the levels of hormones in their body and the injuries sustained. But the stories of their last minutes/hours/days of life would be completely different.

That's not really what I mean.

Where the perpetrator has died, all you've got is qualified guesswork. There are still a lot of unknowns. The experts can tell you roughly when she died and what killed her. They can't tell you what happened before then. They can't tell where she was for 3 days. These are the kind of questions that haunt you.

The murderer sure may lie, but in the case of a trial you'll at least get to piece some parts together; he'll be attempting to create a plausible narrative, so most of the story will be true to some degree. If he pleads guilty, then he'll probably tell the truth, why wouldn't he.

If he dies, you get nothing but what-ifs and probablys.
