Good defence although Kings perhaps not been the greatest test.

    Good linespeed regardless

As written in the scripture, Craig Gilroy shall score a hat-trick on the second weekend of the 6N.

Wonderfully worked try that though, McPhilips' pace and line here is excellent

Very happy with that, it's all about building confidence and momentum.

I was impressed by McPhillips and Lyttle. AOC and Rea were good up front. Gilroy the star of the show.

The Kings aren't very good, but it was still nice to see Ulster run up a score.

The injuries are a worry though.

Good win but it tells us nothing. Kings were very poor but you can only beat what's in front of you.
Good man Gilroy and Cave showing a bit of magic.
Thought Mc Philips went very well. Kudos to Joy Neville...let the game flow well and was very clear in her instructions (scrum time was a mess though).
Luke Marshall must be the worse passer of a ball in world rugby. He launches the ball regardless of his next man being 2 or 22 feet away.

A win is a win but yea, it's hard to read too much into it.

The next three fixtures will give us a better picture of how we're shaping up.

You seriously didn't get to watch the game.

    *high five*

One thin that should be pointed out, and I know we were at home and the conditions were very different, but we only conceded 10 points tonight compared to 30 odd in the first game, so possible progress on that front.

Also, fair fecks to Gilly, after the game he spoke very highly of Les Kiss the man which was good to hear.

Stephen Ferris on The 42 show said much the same. Said that so many things went wrong in Ulster that Les tried to do too much instead of stepping back a bit and letting others take up the slack.

He was very scathing of Logan though, and his unrealistic goals.

I've watched the first 10 or 15 mins of that. Will try to watch the rest this morning if I get a chance. Ferris's description of DOC before Ireland matches is hilarious...as is his impression of Declan Kidney!

He's very entertaining when the shackles are off. He's also very knowledgable. Big fan of Jack Conan by the sound of things too.

Yes. Ambition is fine but no one in his right mind would have taken a blind bit of notice of a spoofer like Logan. Just look at his 'c.v.'. It's padded out with grandiose exaggerations. If he looks after the business end of things and does it well then that is good. The rugby side of things is sod all to do with Logan. ULSTER NEED TO GET RID OF THE DEAD WOOD AND MILLSTONES OF THE COMMITTEE.

Fez's point was that these goals weren't realistic and that just loses everyone.

And in the same interview ferris complained that Conor O'Shea should not be telling his players that they need to focus on their performance against England instead of having expectations of winning.

I'm in the oshea camp on that one, no point in setting unrealistic expectation repeatedly.

How do you change influence of the branch guys on pro game and the older guys/dead wood?

Cipriani leaving Wasps and says he is weighing up offers. Could be a decent addition for Ulster and it looks like his international ambitions so he would be available all season.

Can be world class on his day but he's very flaky and get-attable. I guess Ulster can't be too picky, but still.

He'll probably end up at a mid-table French club earning fairly decent cash.

Goes missing quite often in big games, pretty much has Ulster in his DNA.

    Cipriani wouldnt come near Belfast.

Good player though...on his day...however the church elders that dominate Ulster rugby may not want him here.

Leave what out? I have no idea what you're talking about. The above was not made in reference to the trial in any way shape or form.

    which church?

Presumably he means the evangelical group at Ulster Rugby.
