Stewart needs to organise his blockers far better if he is going to box kick. You could see that last chargedown happening a mile off.

To be fair if Jim Neilly is to be believed Ulster have a THP playing scrum half!!

Is it my imagination or does Tommy Bowe look like he's lost a decent amount of weight?

Here's the kick in the balls coming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,145 ✭✭✭✭bilston

And the season cones down to this scrum

He looks good - bet he didn't expect to play 80 minutes.

    Weir does a Sexton.

Have to say, I think Edinburgh deserved it.

    Edinburgh deserved that.

But feck that's a tough finish.

Weir was down in Worcester at the weekend, comes back to Edinburgh and wins them the game!

Their MOTM and game winner both being let go at the end of the season. Mad stuff.

Ulster were very unlucky with their injuries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,145 ✭✭✭✭bilston

With the injuries I'm being quite serious when I say we may not win another game this season.

Ulster rugby is in a serious spot of bother. I think we're headed for the Challenge Cup (mightn't be a bad thing apart from the financial cost).

    Coach sacked
    His replacement likely to leave
Players in court on very serious charges
    Glut of injuries
    4th in our conference

    Serious issues to be addressed

    Is Gibbs likely to leave?

Two games in a row Edinburgh have nicked at the end. Massive swing

More worrying, fact there hasn’t been a denial!

His post match honesty was refreshing! Ulster we’re lucky Edinburgh didn’t steam roll them. Ulster got out of jail a few times!

More injuries, just keeps getting worse! Even with our signings next year isn’t looking any better sadly!

One positive last night was a much improved defensive structure and effort. Unfortunately we kept kicking the ball back to Edinburgh which meant we had to make tackle after tackle and therefore it took its toll.

Except for Ah You who looks like he can't be bothered.

That's end of season Dave. Unless there's a contract negotiation happening

McPhillips had his arm in a sling leaving the stadium last night apparently. Suppose this means Cooney to 10 now and Stewart at 9?

Ran into Johnno Gibbes at the RDS there. Was joking if he’s down to talk to Carbery.

Did he laugh slightly too loudly and then look from side to side with suspicion?

Let’s just say he thinks our problems extend beyond 10.

I thought Matthew Dalton made his presence felt when he was on the pitch last night. He won a couple of lineouts and set a couple of driving mauls. One thing about him is that he looks at home at this level, which isn't bad for a second row, who this time last year was playing in the Schools Cup!

Stewart found it tough, he got charged down twice (?), but he didn't get his blockers into place. His pass needs to quicken up too. On the other hand he put in a couple of good kicks and he was playing with a scrum half at out half which can't have helped.

Elsewhere in terms of young players, I see James Hume scored on his Banbridge debut today, having missed the whole season so far to injury, he is a promising young player who could feature for us next season.

Nordi Murphy ticking into fine form over this season.
