If you're not a vegan than your a hypocrite saying he deserved this

So if you stamped on a dog's head, I'd be a hypocrite for saying that you deserved similar because I eat some chicken?

Are vegans even allowed to ride a high horse

This here is the crux of the argument. Unattended I'd wager the vegan would eat all the horses paddock bare. There's cruelty and then there's this.

It's funny, right under this was an ad showing this guy fast asleep, mouth agape. It captured my exact feeling when I read your post.

I'm not even a vegan. My point is that the moral outrage associated with this kind of act is massively disproportionate to what goes on in the meat industry on a regular basis.

So yes, if you think he deserved to die for this, then all us meat eaters are complicit and deserve to be stuffed into battery farms.

If you think this is outrageous, try at least be consistent.

My grandfather was a big game hunter in Rhodesia.
Caught two monopolies and a trivial pursuit.

I don't know who is worse. Those who partake in this 'sport' or those whole facilitate and prosper from it.

No idea, probably explains why I never got the blue cheeses.

Simpler times, you could just wander across borders killing everything in your way.

It was a funny old game. Could get out of jail free, with the right cards.

What about the rest of the 5000 criminal gangs in sweden? Are they all croations?

Let me guess, you're trying to blame muslims for all the crimes committed by Balkan gangsters.

Yeah I agree, battery farming is far worse

Well it has its positives and its negatives :p

A danger these canned lion hunts have is the damage they do to genetic diversity. They're incredibly inbread and often deformed.

I was talking to a conservationist in SA recently and they are afraid of the potential for these inbread lions escaping and impacting negatively on the local lions genetic pool.

Pero Jelinic, 75 - think its enough to say he had much fun killing over the years, while dont have much against hunting, but animal basically trapped in reserve and jeep with some old **** in it on the scope isnt hunting, and given species like lions rhinos etc that are on extinct, given he downed one before hand is fair game to end his own

Good! Serves him right. It's a shame he wasn't mauled by the lions. No sympathy.

So a man shooting a lion is bad.

A man shooting another man is good.

    Bit of twisted logic.

Hunters pay 20k+ for their hobby.
    There isn't any hunting involved.
They are brought to the animals and shoot them.
But the money pays for the farms.

I am guessing posters on here have never been to a game park in Africa.
    Conservation takes money.

There are no wild animals in Africa in the sense that they wander about freely.
They are confined to game parks / national parks.

South African National Parks, 21 parks, over 3% of the total area of South Africa.

And I wonder how much of that income goes into the hands of the right people.

The old argument that rolled out over & over again. If you haven't been to a game park you have no right to have an opinion.

Are you really saying that there is no wildlife outside of the parks ?

Any "sport" that involves animal abuse is wrong.

Clothing and food industry get the same indignation from you?

Is a butcher or someone that works in an abattoir horrible?

I think some white teeth guide hits the lion on the head with a club when he's asleep then the big game hunter shoots said lion. Saw it on a documentary on National Geographic or the Bugs Bunny in Africa feature length cartoon. Either or its all a load of ****e.
