I hope Perisic plays better after the break because until we can play Rafinha (assuming he comes) behind the front two, we don't have anything to offer centrally. That's not an attack on Valero, he's good, but he should be regista not trequartista.

Agreed, Joao Mario should be that but it seems he just couldn't be bothered to play. I wouldn't even mind trying Gabigol there really but it seems like he's going back to Santos, he must have some serious issue if he's not even getting a chance and it's been under several managers too.

    Santon was useless.

Inter badly in need of a win. Fantastic start to the season but they've gone seriously off the boil

Why does Spalletti insist on Santon? Nagatomo is no phenomenon but he's light years ahead of Davide, who is a Serie B player at best. Startling how much he has failed to live up to his early promise. We're witnessing yet another fûck away of a season by the players who claim to play for Inter (not a single one of them is good enough to play for such an historic club, though my bet is those clowns will make sure that's all we are). The Zhangs have to get their finger put or they can fûck off too. They've done nothing but spout bullshît since they came in and have acted like all they're interested in is making money off the back of us. One of the richest families in China and they pretend they're frightened of FFP whilst they watch their share price rise due to some dodgy dealing. Disgraceful.

Santon is a disaster, I wouldn't want him if I supported AlbinoLeffe.

Shame he wasn't so good when Icardi should have had a pen in the first half.

1-0 down to Roma and Eder comes on... Yep ok.

Alisson is a very good goalie

Is Icardi gone in the summer? Fantastic player, being held back at Inter it would seem.

How do Inter not score there!?

Inter regressing to where they ought to be. Definitely the worst team in that top 5.

It's embarrassing the lack of forward options, for so long.

Schick cost Roma a nice sum of money by their standards & he barely features.
    Vecino pinches one.

It was only a matter of time

Roma really brought that on themselves sitting so deep and playing for the 1-0 without any effort to push forward, momentum with Inter now but still well capable of throwing it away.

    Roma got what they deserved.

    Such negative tactics

I sound like a broken record but how is Di Francesco still Roma manager...

Then they start playing decent again after they concede, the mind boggles

I don't think anything pulls at your emotions as much as football. Everything for me was black until Vecino's equaliser. Now, with Rafinha coming in, I'm not happy but there's a glimmer of optimism. The Zhangs need to do one of two things though. Either back Spalletti and to hell with the FFP, as PSG have done, and to hell with Beijing, or start looking for what they've been after since they came in; a big Middle Eastern buyout and a huge profit. Chinese owners are showing they only want to do things on the cheap, and I swear if they don't sign up Cancelo in the summer I'll turn against them even more than I am now. I must be the only person in the world though who sees Icardi as an average, at best, centre forward. If the team isn't going well he offers absolutely nothing. That was OK in the days of Ian Rush where a forward was judged solely on his goals but nowadays forwards need to offer more. I can't believe there's even a question over Benzema plus cash if Real are serious about it.

You arent, hes Defoe of Argentina
Even in Argentina hes not that rated, ignoring why hes hated for the obvious reasons
The only people who want him in the starting lineup are the ignorant people over there

His goal scoring, for an average side, is beyond belief. Average he definitely is not. Whether he'd do as well in a better team with others taking their own chances I don't know but at Inter he's a fantastic striker and the only thing keeping them in contention of a CL place.

    Defoe :D I needed a good laugh!

Why  hes obviously a better player, but thats a apt comparison
Which player arent you familiar with?
    Im guessing Icardi

Calling Icardi average at best is crazy, you don't score that many goals in what has been an average Inter side without being a very good player. His shots per goal and shot accuracy are both excellent but he simply has no support, Candreva is a good crosser but that's about it and Perisic is an average player imo, I thought he should have been sold in the summer and still can't understand why Man Utd wanted him. In a better team with more support Icardi would be even better than he has been and if it wasn't for his goals we'd be much further down the table.

Everything but everything in terms of attacking play is channeled through him. Why shouldn't he score as much as he does if every attacking ball is put in in search of him? His play is limited to the area and is a huge part of what makes Inter so predictable. I'd love to see that heat map thing on his movement during a match. He barely moves out of that centre of the area position. Of course he's going to score a lot as against the amount of shots he gets in that position, he plays 95% of every match in a prime position to score. He rarely goes searching for the ball, he rarely plays another player into position. If you ask me, he's a large part of why Inter are so average. I'd bet anyone that if he moves to Real Madrid we won't be talking of him in any greater terms than people talk of Benzema in five years time. I see in him an Ian Rush of the present era, the difference is Ian Rush played in different times. His rating as a superb player is a precise example of how statistics are a horrendous addition to football; they're better suited to American sport where a player is expected to move once every year and a half, not to football where there are far more intricacies to the game than scoring goals. Days have moved on since the Linekers of this world were considered top notch; look at Messi, tons of goals but also tons of assists and a lot of a lot of other things too. I'm not saying Icardi has to be even close to Messi, who is an alien, to be considered good, just that simply getting into good positions, making a team dependant on you, and scoring a lot isn't enough anymore.

He's definitely behind Higuain and Aguero and Dybala for a striking birth for me anyway. And Argentine coach prefers Benedetto too.
