Advice for actors / actresses required to appear in adulterous scenes in Fair City.
Firstly and most essentially, the cardinal rule in any bout of "love-making" scenes is that neither the male or female must divest themselves of any item of clothing.
If the gentleman has some time to spare, he may, if necessary, open the top two buttons of his shirt. While not strictly necessary, the man may wish to remove his one of his shoes .
Similarly, the lady may wish to leave the top button of her blouse unbuttoned. For the sake of modesty, and in the best interest of our viewers, do not, repeat do not, be tempted to open more than one button.
Also, it is advised that the lady should never allow the gentleman to remove her jacket, her jumper, her raincoat or her waterproof waterproof trousers.
Under no circumstances whatsoever are the following items to be removed or even interfered with : underwear, ie. underpants (of either sex) brassieres, corsets, long - johns, Y-fronts or adult pads.
Bear in mind always that our viewers are Irish, and are therefore not accustomed to anything more erotic than a quick dry h*mp.
Remember always that the act of coitus between a man and a woman who are not married is forbidden by Canon Law and the clergy, and istherefore a mortal sin, punishable by the Eternity of Hell.

Damien ... unhinged? - naw - he's perfectly rational and not gone off the rails at all!
What was that effort when he looked like he was gonna thump his sister there ? ... it sorta whimpered into nothing - looked silly. Why didnt they make him thump the wall to give the scene more impact. If they were frightened about ruining the actor's itty bitty hand I am sure the set designers could have temporarily made the wall out of polystyrene or balsa wood or something.0 -

Some mentioned during the week but How can the O' Brien's just go back to living in there house after two people died in it? Its actually hilarious,it doesn't bother them at all like if that was my house I wouldn't be going back any time soon!
Also I didn't Know you could have two visits in one day in prison, I thought it was more like once a month rather two a day ahhh sure that's fair city for ya,no research required, anything is possible :rolleyes:. 0 -

Technically, Dan died in hospital or are you including Sarah in your two? Or does that make it three? Moving into a murder never bothered them. I don't think they've mentioned it.0 -

Yeah absolutely stupid, Sephiroth.Even taking out the fact that nobody in their right mind would want to move straight back into a house where 2 people were killed, the carpets soaked with petrol and flare waste and a dozen jugs of petrol in the attic, would the house not be a crime scene guarded day and night for at least a week or two?!?!
I would want an expert in there to secure the house and make sure no more fires could start and while they are at it, board up the door in the attic so no have-a-go heroes can hijack the building to claim glory and credit for a storyline which had NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM! :mad:0 -
