Congratulations! I think it's so exciting knowing the gender. Best of luck to you!
Dropped into Aldi myself today. Got a load of books, some bibs and tights for the little one.

Thanks Gatica :D Yeah we've had enough surprises with being pregnant and its surprising today anyway! We're getting new hours though at nearly same time as baby comes, so its best to know if I need to paint in boy or girl colours!

How is Lidl's baby sale? We havent been down but we're considering going down for the nappies, I think they are 1/2 price. Are they good?

    Awh congrats xpletiv, great news!

Not to mad about the lidl nappies ( or Aldi for that matter) I've heard so many rave about them but they never suited any of mine as newborns.. I did get the Aldi ones as soon as they were ready for the pull up type ones and found them great!

Sale in Boots started today, some good baby stuff on sale.

Also went to mothercare, they have even more off a lot of their sale stuff. Bought a bunch of small clothes :)

Tommee Tippee Variflow teets in Aldi, 2 pack for €1.
Marked down from €4. Seen in Aldi Kenmare. Don't know how widely available.

Theres a few things in Lidl from Tommee Tipee but still cheaper to get on amazon and ship, nothing of particular value there. JIC someone is tempted!

Tesco Castlebar, not sure if nationwide

    Angelsounds fetal doppler, JPD-100S
    Was 50 was 18.33 Now 14.58

Two on shelf, different packaging but same product I think.
    Reduced shelves on biscuit aisle.

Oh man the temptation. I’m desperately trying to prevent myself causing more anxiety 😂

I’ll be checking Tesco thanks! I had this for my previous two pregnancies and stupidly lent it to someone whos baby is now 9 months old and hasn’t given it back :(
Just glad I didn’t lend them the car seat!

I’m not judging just informing - there’s a big movement to ban home Doppler machines due to dangers associated with their use

There is a baby event on at Dunnes and I'm interested in nappies because it seem like such a good offer. Being a FTM I have a question that may seem silly but will it sell out fast?? I plan to stop by on way home from work this evening before 6pm so will there still be plenty? :)

I did the same last week or week before when they had them half price.

Was worried they would sell out but they didnt

Hadn't a clue what I should be getting so got a mix of 1,2,3,4 sizes.... And some wipes. Spent about 60 when it should be 120. Was delighted

That is some savings!! :D I was advised to get a mix of sizes 1 and 2- but only 2 or 3 packs of size 1's.

I wouldn’t go too mad stocking up on nappies before baby arrives. Different brands of nappies suit different babies. On one of mine, pampers always leaked, so I switched to aldi nappies. Those baby events happen very often too, so i wouldn’t get too excited about them!

Heh, I would have agreed with that until I had a baby with the smallest arse ever. He's 9 weeks on Thursday and size 2 are still too wide on him!

I found pampers leaked on my little one too, switched to the Lidl ones and no more leaks or poonami situations for half the price

The nappy offers usually come up once a month, around child benefit day which is first Tuesday of the month so don’t worry too much about stocking up!

Unless is Millem posting about wipes offers. Sit up and pay attention then :). 33c wipes from boots did me about 9 months on my first

Some Tommee Tippee stuff on today's Amazon Deal of the day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,302 ✭✭✭Gatica

Aldi is having a baby event today, lots of great stuff, like booster seats, towels, potties...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭xpletiv

If anyone has the Tommee Tippee Sangenic bins, dont bother buying them anywhere other than Amazon. I foolishly bought 1 pack in Dunnes for 11.39, on Amazon its 3 packs for £10!

Do find Amazon wins over and over and over again for baby products!

Add a price alert on http://www.camelcamelcamel.com to alert you when the price drops on Amazon for them.

They also show the historical prices each product, so you can tell if you are getting the best bargain
