As the title says - if you suddenly found yourself 50 grand richer what would you do? Now, I know it's not an awful lot of money to some - but to others it is a hell of a lot - so would you spend wisely and think of ways to make a profit on this money or would you blow the whole lot in one go?

Blow €5k on travelling, treating myself etc then put the rest towards a house deposit - boring but necessary!

Buy a second hand BMW R1200GSA and do Scotland, England, Europe & the Middle East on it. Then probably north Africa to Morroco, to Spain and home for a few pints in the local.

the Bitcoin ship has sailed. If you could go back to 2015 with €10,000 to invest in Bitcoin, and sold about 1 month ago, you probably would never have to work again. Its too late buying into it now.

If I came into 50k tomorrow, I would buy a domestic windmill, and an electric car. I would invest the rest of the money into my own work.

Clear some debts & buy a more practical car.

Spend some on a nice holiday and then patiently wait for a stock market crash and invest the rest for the long term.

Put it towards buying my own gaf.

I'd probably spend a small bit (5k), put a small bit in savings (5k), and then do the above with the rest

    Your cue to invest will be when either Keelin Shanley or Catriona Perry on the Six One News mentions any of the below relating to the stock market;

Plunge, Crash, Panic, Chaos, Turmoil etc

Then buy stock in some Household names :pac:

7000 on a few really nice holidays, 5000 on random internet shopping things Ive always wanted, 2000 on friends and family, I haven't moved out yet so Ill assume Ill have debts in future when I do so maybe 7000 on debts and payments

    Then save 29,000 for future

Add to existing savings and use it as the deposit on a house.

Now is the best time. It’s a 50% off sale.

Quick, quick, remortgage the house, prices never go down, relatively speaking of course!

Spend a month or two in Australia visiting my daughter. First class flights there and back :)

    New kitchen.

Maybe a newer car. Not too fussed about this to be honest, and probably wouldn't spend more than 15K.

Trips to see Celtic FC and FC Barcelona.

Rest of it in The Maple Leaf, Cork (best pub ever!)

Use it to buy the only acceptable expression of wealth in Ireland

    DECKING

Inheritance tax will leave you with about a tenner though! Winnings are generally tax free, context is important!

Clear the credit card, replace the Windows on the house, put in the downstairs wetroom I want, upgrade the gas boiler and spend anything left on the rest of the long list of jobs I want to do around the house.
