That prank on Ann was so funny! Can't understand why they don't show these interesting funny moments like that on the show instead of trying to focus everything on sexual crap.

And I don't get how she was fcuking draped all over him while he was saying he wanted to tap that, he was rubbing her arse and she was loving it- and then she goes running back to the kitchen to tell on him like a 5 year old? She's pathetic!! She gives me the rage

It's kind of funny how at the beginning everyone was praising the intellectual conversations and overall manners of the house, and now a lot, including myself, are just waiting for a full kick-off.

I think the lack of proper trash TV celebrities has reduced those chances as while I can see some arguments don't know if we have anyone in there that will go full psycho. But that may change the longer theyre stuck there.

Was watching old ones online, mainly the fights, and while he's an absolute d***head Bear was comedy gold. Would love someone like that thrown into the mix.

the problem is that trashy housemates were turning people off the show in large numbers, which isn't good for the long term viability of it. at this stage the damage is likely done.
having a look at another particular forum, this series is mostly getting positive feedback, with negative comments in the minority. previous series were the exact opposite with negative comments being in the majority.
i turned off the series bear was in but i could see why some found him funny as he was such a windup, but there was quite a lot of dislike of him.

What kills it is fake storylines and showmances. Ever since Ex on the beach and Love island became really popular, they've tried to merge it into that. Perhaps that is what the masses wanna see, but it's getting harder and harder to watch each year.

Would it even be Celebrity Big Brother if there was no Love Island/Ex on the Beach/Geordie Shore person in it?

Not what I meant though, just the forcing of the showmance angle. At this stage it's scripted.

I think the one thing we can all agree on is we are all getting a bit sick of the showmancy bits and would really like to get a bit of a broader view of more of the hm's, not just the same people night after night.
I like Shortney but dont want to ONLY see them every episode.
Mix it up a bit BB please :)

It's like the producers just pick a theme and run with that forever. It is surely hard to make a coherent story with 42 minutes a night to play with, but the 2 stories we're being fed at the moment are turgid.

    Exactly !
We all know there's funny things happening in the house , interesting conversations between the other HM's , show us them because it's like watching the washing machine at this point - wash , rinse , repeat ..... :D

Exactly, they can use other methods to generate drama and clashes. It's so disappointing. I really wish they'd either go back to basics or try something else completely. Nobody is buying the showmances. Neeeeeexxxxxt!

Much and all as I don't like him , if they showed more of the others , I could see if I'm right or wrong in my opinion of Daniel , the unfunny comedian .

    Doubt it though ha !

Even Malpractice hasn't featured that much lately. Most mediocre material.

It will be interesting to see who gets nominated this week. That will liven things up I think, and take the attention off the showmances.

Whoa I'm far too tired to properly articulate my thoughts on this contentious issue but I'm going to give it a bash.

Big Brother most likely feel they have a duty of care to NOT be seen to normalize the behaviour between Shortney and Andy with regards to the pants pulling.

Like when Shauna (Savannah) and Gemma Lucy were brought into the DM and asked if they were okay and they both said 'yeah I'm grand/yeah I'm fine. It was only a bit of messing' That's fine in their cases but it normalizes this type of behaviour in a way that young lads watching are being insidiously shown that doing these things is fine and in general girls are grand with it and know that it's just a bit of craic.

So Johnny BBViewer might be out at Club M at the weekend and think it'd be a bit of fun to pull a girls top down and pretend to grab her boob. Then when she screams at him and her friends come over and start on him and this commotion brings a bouncer over and he gets bounced out, Johnny BBViewer and his mates think 'what's her problem? Gemma/Shauna/etc were okay with stuff like that. Yer wan must just be up herself/stuck up/a lesbian. PC gone bleedin mad, I was only having the craic.'

So BB probably want to be seen to tell people 'This is not an okay thing to do' despite the reality that they actually want drunken sexy antics and actively encourage it and provide limitless booze.

    Good point well made Misty

Has been for 2 or 3 days for me :(

I've finally gotten to watch. Am I the only one who got a little gooey inside at Wayne's feeling good bonding with the men? Also, does anyone think there was a second before pants/cushiongate that it looked like Shane J wanted to snog Andrew? What about Ashley? I reckon she's been pondering and decided she's in a better position if she backs away from G a tad. I mean she was all over him the day before. So over it, big time. Baechel starting to annoy me too. Not seeing as much of Mediocre as I'd like.

I had the 504 error when I was trying to post in the thread a few days ago - I had to post in incognito mode it sorted itself out after 2/3 days
