Hate backing short road favourites but surely the Saints are for real this year, I honestly can't see how the Bills are going to be able to live with them.

Not doing too well this year betting wise. Haven't done my over/under yardage since the first few weeks went bust. Handicap wise only hit two I think this season. Raiders +7.5 let me down in a five fold this weekend which included Giants and Bucs. Need to look a bit more at the games rather than just going into shop and placing away :P

Yeah I'm a bit of a chicken but I just felt I had to cash this out. 2225 if I held out and he gets the second td.

The opening post is not the best or tidiest so apologies, but I thought it would be a good idea to kick things off for next season.

I've had my first best already.

The Patriots over 11 wins really jumped to me from the above image so went searching and found that Coral are currently 10.5 wins for New England at 4/5. I can't understand why it is so low. The last time the Patriots didn't win over 10.5 games was in 2009. You have to go back to 2005 to find a second time. They are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down and got even better in the offseason IMO. The second half of their schedule is quite tough with 5 of 6 games after their week 9 bye on the road (back-to-back games at altitude too, one at Mile High and one in Mexico) but I'd be very surprised if they didn't win at least 11 games.

    Patriots over 10.5 wins - 4/5 (Coral).

Nice timing with this coming in the week before Christmas.

    Fifteen favourites win last weekend.

Vegas books have been taking a bashing this season on the moneyline favourites.

    Titans @ Chiefs (-7.5) - 9:35pm (ESPN/ABC)
    Falcons @ Rams (-4.5) - 01:15am (NBC)

    Sunday 7th January:

    Bills @ Jaguars (-7.5) - 6pm (CBS)
    Panthers @ Saints (-5.5) - 9:40pm (FOX)

Where is the money going this weekend?

Personally I'll be on the Falcons, moneyline and will take the points as well.

I think the Panthers will play the Saints tough but not sure they can score enough to stay within 6 of Drew Brees although the Bucs showed last weekend anything is possible in this league.

Bills have momentum and if Shady is fit I think they could cause some problems for Jacksonville who are coming into the playoffs in a little bit of a funk.

I like the Chiefs a lot and will probably take a much bigger alternative handicap. I like the Rams a lot too.

Jags have really struggled the last two weeks early in games and if they get behind here there'll be no way back for them. I like the Bills chances but I don't think I'll bet on it.

Impossible to call the Panthers @ Saints game.

At the moment id be looking at the chiefs as a solid pick minus the handicap how the titans managed to get into the playoffs baffles me they really aren't a good team. Kc by 13+

Atlanta @ L.A. is probably the game of the weekend in my opinion Atlanta are a bit too hit and miss for me to be confident backing them not saying they can't win but they will have their hands full keeping a lid on gurley. From a betting point of view I'll be looking for a gurley anytime td rams win.

Buffalo @ Jacksonville it all comes down to whether shady plays which is looking unlikely but I wouldn't be comfortable backing a bortles led team to win by more than a touchdown no matter how good their defence is. The under over line is 39.5 which is very low but if shady doesn't play that's where my money would be going.

Carolina @ new orleans the myth tells you it's very difficult to beat a team 3 times in one season but the stats don't back that up I think 13 out of 20 times the team who won the first 2 has won the 3rd aswell. New Orleans in my book look the closest team to the patriots their defence has come from nowhere and kamara is lethal brees is doing what he always does without getting the credit this year I don't think cam and the Panthers are playing well enough to score enough points in the dome to stay with the saints. I like them-6.5 and would also be looking at anytime td and win bets on kamara and Thomas for the saints

Can't get away from the Vikings this week, have a feeling they'll be well able to handle what the Saints throw at them. Also interesting to see where the Jags-Steelers line goes, and which side of 7 it ends up on.

Noticed quite a difference between paddy, Bet365 and Skybet for the divisonal round betting.

I like LeGarrette Blount under 10.5 rushing attempts on Skybet, the line is 7.5 on paddy, since Ajayi came blount has rushed over 10.5 times twice out of the 8 games. Also Ajayi was rested for there last game vs the cowboys. Eagles will run a lot with foles you would think but seems a good bet to me.

In the pats game like Henry over 17.5 rushes on paddy the line is 19.5 on skybet.

This happens throughout the year on multiple games. I used to arb them for a large amount. Would happen a couple rimes a year where you would hit the middle for a nice winfall. You really have to do your research though and watch what your paying for the numbers...

Havent had time to do it this year.

so did anyone have the Vikings -5.5? I had the saints so was happy enough but you'd be raging if them not kicking the XP cost you the win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,818 ✭✭✭Bateman

You'd have to take it on the chin if you were on Vikings -5.5. I know that was the closing line but it was lower all week and personally I always try to avoid taking the worst of the number.

    Bama Outright @ 4/1
    Bama win Conference @ 4/9
    Louisville win Conference @ 5/1
OSU to make Playoffs @ 4/6

    Wisconsin win Big10 West @ 4/6
Miami Florida win ACC Coastal @ 5/4
    USC win Pac12 @ 11/10
    WSU over 7.5 wins @ 20/27

    Texas over 7.5 wins @ 5/6

    Pats win AFC @ 11/4

Happy enough with that. Bama & Pats were the most important to win. Louisville I never really expected them to win it, it just felt their price was too high.

so what do we like for the final. not really looking for value just a good solid bet

Pats -3.5 and over 39.5 11/10 caught my eye as did Eagles +7.5 and over 39.5

Just Foles has me cautious on last one.

For the second one if you think they will stay within 7 if you don't think they will win you could do pats win by 1-10 would be a better price. I'm looking at wincasts atm I like white and Hogan 11/4 and 4/1 and I like to pick an obscure one aswell maybe someone like develin at 25s

Found a "what odds paddy" that actually seems a bit of value. Ertz anytime TD, Amendola anytime TD and over 48.5 mat points", it's 40/1 and feels like that's more than fair price
