Shaun Patton anyone? Someone was singing his praises on Twitter the other night.

Should be a good option, was too young at harps and no harm not displacing Doherty at Derry. Got a few games with Sligo at last year when schlingerman got injured and did well by accounts.

Supposedly good at kickouts. That will help. Mind you, I struggle to put all the blame on McGinley for that.

Looks like it's going ahead as planned -

Hard to see anyone in Ireland, let alone Ulster beating us now.

Not a suite of predications as such, just my own personal wishlist:-
    • Getting to an Ulster Final would be great for this Dgl Team after last year
    • Tyrone's 3 in a row attempt squashed
    • Anyone but Kerry to win the AI ;-)

I just hope our League Campaign bears some fruit. It wouldn't be ideal prep for Championship if we were relegated.

Hmm. Things are worse than thought if we don't!

    Winning would be good.

Failing to make the Final would not.

He's heading for Stoke. Brendan Rodgers will be his assistant.

    Stranger things have happened!!!

Interesting times ahead it seems, I’d love to see him get another crack at the Donegal job but I’m not sure if it would be as successful as the first time!

I don’t think jim would want the job now to be honest. Maybe when he retires from professional clubs and semi retires in 20 odd years..

Have you heard why he’s resigned or is that confidential haha?

I’d say primarily for family reasons myself and I always felt the language barrier with the way Jim works would literally get lost in translation. Like it’s the way he says things not the words he uses that makes Jim, Jim.

Also I’d say he’d have other opportunities that are closer than China.

    They could do worse.

From watching some of the discussions on Off The Ball, it seems that Jim McGuinness is intending to continue pursuing a career in football and that the GAA isn’t something he’s considering at the moment.

One person suggested that he has quite an interest in German football and would like to work there which would be fascinating!

The shame of it. Losing to a team managed by that charlatan.

Good to see Leo McLoone back.

McGinley in goal is simply not good enough.

Leo was good when introduced, great to see him back.
