That's always bugged me about McDonald's and other fast-food places, the food never looks anything like in the ads or posters.

It's false advertising.

There's probably something in the T&C's about that though, like with how it looks in marketing and reality.

Although I don't think I've ever had a take away burger that ever looks anything other than squished.

I use to have my burgers looking exactly like the pics, even better. It's a pity I dropped half the ingredients while I was making them.

Sure Gamestop sells gaming tat now, with only a passing interest in the actual videogames.
I have to say though, the Swords branch is pretty decent, I've had no reason to hate going in there, apart from many of the prices.

Used to love browsing Henry Street's 2nd hand section upstairs. Sauntered in a while back and it was 20 miles of t-shirts and Funko Pops. I mourn it, but I'd imagine it's a lot more profitable than hoarding 70000000 copies of Wii Play in one of Dublin's premiere retail strips.

Bought the collectors edition of zelda and they sent the regular version. No answer from their customer service email. I rang them at 3.15 and it is just a recorded message saying their lines are open from 9-4pm then it hangs up. Ffs

Pray you paid by Paypal, if so, begin a dispute/claim. If you paid directly by card, get onto your bank & ask about their chargeback process (wrong item received, no response/communication from retailer). You wont be getting an email reply, you also wont be getting a call back if you left a voicemail...so they're the only two options you have.

I'm trying to find a Bloodborne and a Skyrim guide that I can collect today.
There's a guy on Adverts but he's not there til after the holidays.

There are two Bloodborne guides, one for the main game and one for the Old Hunters. The Old Hunters is as rare as hens teeth.

Your best bet would be easons I'd guess.

Easons, Forbidden Planet and GameStop were a bust.
But I got a couple of collected editions of the Dark Souls comics instead, I'd say he'll be stoked to get those.

I had a second copy of the Bloodborne guide here but gave it to a friend who had just picked up the game.

I'll keep an eye out for you and let you know if I see one.

I just wanted to share my experience here cos it really ****ing pissed me off even though its about Cex and not Gamestop.

I saw Cex on George Street in Dublin had an Xbox One X in stock, so I got a big pile of stuff to trade in for it (wasn't cheap, it was 500 notes) and went in store to get it. Asked the young lady serving before I traded anything in 'Is the xbox one X available?' and I could see it behind the counter, and she said it was. So I asked to trade stuff in, started checking the stuff, and she says 'we don't take US DS games anymore because they don't work on our DS's' to which I said (politely I hope) I'm sorry but they do, at which point she said called me a liar and said no they don't, and I wasn't bothered enough to press the point.

Anyway, stuff all traded in, credit note printed, and she suddenly tells me 'no wait, thats actually been put on hold for someone, sorry' So I ask to reverse the trade (again, very politely I hope) and she said it can't be reversed once its done. So I ask where's the nearest store with an One X in, she tells me its fecking Sligo! (hey sligeach) And at that point I say thank you for your help and leave, because I can see nothing else is going to happen out of this, and I will never shop at Cex again.

FFS - although to be fair seems like you just got an asshole to deal with as opposed to it being a store policy (I hope)

So I'm dead serious about this whole boycott every game shop day everywhere and anywhere selling games needs some telling off be that stores with crap services terrible staff insufficient stock or I don't know you just don't like the place I've got my reasons to target near every place that sells games but I'm an amoral crackpot that just wants cheap games so soon very soon I'm gonna draw up some battle plans here or in my Dungeon and all you mutha truckers, yes he said ALL better join in or I'm gonna come get you and make you join in but speeches are for campaigning now is the time for action.

Just bought a Zelda cap in my local gamestop. Had a discount code for 25% off with Three Mobile. Girl behind the counter accidentally gave me 50% off. Result.
Their prices for Switch games are so out of touch with other stores though it's ridiculous.
