To put a positive slant on things, I'm really enthused about Wootton's development. He needs to tidy up some aspects (kicking for example) but he's quick on his feet and well able in the physical stakes.

Good spectacle to watch, think the fact earls was left out so close to the start hurt us..loads of trys, defence was a bit rough, but the better team def won.

A bit disappointed at how little game time McCarthy got. I'd like to see him start one of these games.

Good comeback from Munster but that Larmour try was worthy of winning any game.

He's good. Northampton Saints must be kicking themselves that they released him from their academy!

Considering Munster had an eight day recovery after Leicester I was surprised at how lethargic the starters were, including some key players.

Niall Scannell made a big difference and his brother was one of the few who performed throughout. Kleyn was very good too.

Posted it last week but Keatley is the weak link in an otherwise top side. He has to be replaced.

I still think Lowe is going to pick up a citing....that haircut is abysmal !!

The first half performance won the game for Leinster. The entire pack was monstrous at keeping ball ticking over and away from Munster. Brought the game away from them. Such a shame to see James Ryan go off injured again as he was having a stormer in tandem with Toner. The much vaunted Munster backrow were blown away in the first half.

I thought Keatley took control of the game when they needed it. His kicking put Leinster in their own half for about 30 minutes.

Cleote needs to come back into the side. TOD was decent but Cleote's energy around the park was missed.

That was 80 minutes well spent. Very entertaining.

Jordan “CC” Larmour putting together a nice little portfolio of counter-attacking tries this season.

Outside of the 3 main locks, Leinster have some very average backups. I suppose you can’t have it all.

I suppose next season Munster will have to take this game seriously and put out the first XV...Conway probably the pick of the starting side.

Cloete is a much better player.

Yeah I thought he was fairly decent. Good kicking from hand and took the ball well to the line.

That was pretty much the first XV minus injuries.

    Edit: Oh no...whoosh? :(

McCarthy and Marsh are seriously big units. Brought some real bulk to the Leinster halves to close out the game.

    Yup. :(

Ok. We lost. It's fine. I'm over it...

    However...

Anyone else think that despite a savage double step, explosive pace and leaving Keats standing still - that Larmour never grounded that ball?

I think Zeebs did a mammoth job in stopping him - and Nige bottled it.

    Thoughts?

Great game of rugby. Both teams served up a right dinger. Leavy, conan, larmour, wooten, scannel. So much young talent. All is very bright in Irish rugby, bar Ulster, at present

In the short term they've a really big game coming up against Ulster to decide which of them is the worst Irish province!

Hopefully Van der Gramophone will field a decent XV for that one.

He did, clear as day.....he touched when he first hit the ground but rolled over and touched it again

Then a Leinster player came in and pushed it to the ground

Motion seconded. A ponytail would be an improvement, that's how bad it is

JGP got on top of it and helped ground it. Nigel had a clear view and gave it immediately.

    After that performance... Yes.

That was the second grounding, it occurred after Nigel had already awarded the try at the point where Larmour had first grounded it.

good game - great to see larmour doing well - watched him since he played underage rugby with my son - has always been special - Lowe on the wing is a great signing , not sure we needed another wing, but he too is a bit special.

Tommy will be lucky to make the 23 for another big game this season.
Think our biggest issue now is fly half, I'd like to see Johnton get a run out against Connacht to see if he's up to controlling a big game for us.

Was he in control in anyway shape or form though? Munsters were muck in the first half, better team won by far.

Positives for munster: the scrum, and character to come back. Plenty for JVG and JP to work on.

Yeah even if he missed the grounding first off when all the Leinster players came in it slipped over zebos leg and was grounded at the end anyway.

If we overlook the two tries that went past him because his defensive positioning was very poor.

Very different players. Reckon pick em to suit the opposition / Ref.

It was a brilliant performance from Leinster but Munster will definitely be furious at that first half. Time for the new coaches to lay down some harsh truths I reckon. Leo pointed out before the game that this is a hard time to play a game like this.

I’d imagine we’ll see a bit more rotating for Leinster before going full-bore at Connacht. Should be a big one before Europe.

Certainly Leinster were clinical in first twenty. Don't know how good they were after that
