Why else was the gif posted?

I think the way Furlong looks around is supposed to mirror the way the Rock looks around.

You'd have to ask the poster, but I would think it was because of the way he looked around afterwards.

  • Holy ****, Owens' first impression of the penalty try was "I don't think he interferes with him in any way"... now I know he got to the correct decision but what was he looking at?

Also interesting that Lowe looked much quicker than Conway in that foot race.

The full game should be on TG4 Player. I don't know when we'll see Pro14 highlights with the odd scheduling and holidays.

  • Watching through again, Larmour sliced one kick out on the full (which happens) but he's barely put a toe wrong in the first half. Takes an excellent high ball on about 38 mins under huge pressure from Conway.

He also made two fairly massive touches with other kicks.

Watching back on Sky and in the first 9 minutes Quinlan has called Larmour, O Loughlin twice

To be fair they are quite similar.

There's a match video on Youtube with Sky coverage and commentary by someone else who makes the same mistake. They do look similar to be fair.

When you're being paid to commentate on a match I would think identifying players correctly would be the absolute minimum standard you'd need to hit.

He had his Christmas dinner with John Lacey. Need I say more? :D

He's just called O Loughlin, Larmour now after the Henshaw try.

  • Just again on Keatley and people saying he should have made the tackle on Larmour. He's 15m of open space to his right, the whole pitch to his left, zero support, and one of the quickest guys in Ireland coming at him full pelt. He has no chance. It reminds me a bit of Naholo/Kearney in the NZ game, people going mad about Kearney but again it's a virtually impossible tackle to make.

Well no need to call for Rob out for Ireland. He'll be 2nd choice with Leinster next season, thanks Larmour

Mod warning: You are no longer just making threads where RK is vaguely on topic unreadable, you're now bringing him into totally unrelated threads. This is a final warning, DO NOT post about Rob Kearney again unless he is specifically being discussed. DO NOT bring him up. DO NOT create a thread in order to discuss him. Your constant criticism of a player is gone well beyond trolling now and will not be tolerated.

And it is Quinlan we're talking about so hardly a massive surprise he's making a balls of it

Jordan Larmour's first step on Rory Scannell was outrageous. It was a wicked change of direction. Special talent.

Edit: it was on Sammy Arnold.

That was a very good game of rugby. Really enjoyable watch. Aprt from the result. Still a good way to spend my Boxing Day. Leinster were simply too good in the first half. I felt Munster had to get some points in the 5-10 minutes before halftime or it'd be too big a mountain to climb. Still it was a good fight back.

Larmour was having an average to poor match until that try. It reminded me of Christian Cullen (pre-Munster). I think he should be called into the Irish camp asap BUT not to play. He has a lot to work on and the sooner the Irish coaching staff start working with him the better.

Jordi Murphy definitely annoyed Owens at some point. There were a couple of times where Owens pretty much told him to shut up and go away. Maybe a more experienced captain would have handled it better. You have to when to pick your battles and when to walk away.

Overall, I wish all the inter pros were that sort of match.

Not overly. ROL is a bit lanky and has 10cm on Larmour. Larmour himself would be a bit more stocky.

Mistakes do happen. But if a commentator can call all the players correctly on the match after they all did shave or dye, I have no sympathy for commentators making the mistake haha

Him not being captain probably didn't help!

I think he was after McGrath left? Not too sure now.

Who took over after Jordi was subbed?

I think it was Strauss who then also went off, I'm not sure who then.
