Me too, the one before this was way better.

It's all a bit Disney these days..

Saw it yesterday (in my essentially annual cinema trip when I’m home). Didn’t care for it.

Great news! The UK passport can be blue again after Brexit.

Except it seems that there was no EU law stipulating it should be burgundy. Croatia's is blue. :D

There’s been a bunch of misleading information about all this today. There is an EU agreement stipulating the passports should all be the same colour and it also accounts for things like where the biometric stuff should be etc. There was also some people saying that it wasn’t the EU but actually the independent civil aviation people. In actuality it was a voluntary EU agreement that predates that authority and is fairly difficult to get out of... but what’s more important than any of that is that it doesn’t matter whatsoever...

Also they’re trying sell this as some victory. The reality is that they’re being told that they HAVE to change the colour of that passport in order to prevent confusion between the UK and EU passports after Brexit and they’re selling it to the people as a victory. It’s going to cost them the guts of a billion pounds by the time it’s done!

I wouldn't have thought that they absolutely have to change the colour. I'm sure other countries use a variation of burgundy already. But they would absolutely have to change all references to the EU and that would demand a change of everyone's passport. I wonder will the great mass of the unwashed realise that this new passport is going to cost them money.

Yeah I'm not sure they had to change the colour but that was suggested somewhere today that I was reading, they have to be very obvious I suppose.

I'd imagine most of those people think the money is worth it

Why would they want a passport? Everything they need is right there in Blighty.

    Torremolinas isn't :D

I suppose they'll have to close the Chunnel...

  • Haven't seen match of the day in years but I did just get to see a gloriously awkward moment of Lineker asking Shearer why a player would kick another in the face.

Had all mine done really early this year. I’ve been sat at home last couple of days with my feet up while everyone else rushes around losing their minds.

I’m on-call as well meaning I’m getting paid and I’ve only had to do about 20 minutes of work. This is Christmas.

But ive been left with the greatest question: What is the ultimate chocolate? I’m partial to a Terry’s Chocolate Orange myself

Also known as plums in chocolate and my new favourite chocolate treat. If there is a Polish shop near you, see if they have them, you won't regret it.

Oh gawd please say your tongue is planted in your cheek there...
I was given a chocolate cherry a few years back. (Zactly as it sounds, a cherry dipped/covered in chocolate) I wasn't told what it was before I popped it in my mouth.

Almost barfed all over the host of the evening.

Mind you I CANNOT STAND the texture of raisins, plums, cherries, dates etc.

Plum pudding and Christmas cake are abominations imo.

Gimme a tiramisu, cheesecake or chocolate fudge cake anyday.

And my favourite chocolate used to be the coffee one in Roses til they did away with it.
Now it's the red one in quality street!

Funnily enough, I thought you'd be quite the fan of having plums in your mouth. :D

    Merry Christmas!!

Have only had Samsung galaxy phones for around 8 years now but the S8 is an unreliable mess of a handset. Easily the worst phone of the series and first time I've seriously considered a different android manufacturer for my next. Utterly frustrating phone.

NFL Redzone and cans for the rest of Christmas Eve :D

I have an 8 and it's great. Why you think it's unreliable?

I had to replace the first one I got as it continually dropped connection. Similar issue with second but living with it. Camera doesn't focus which is a known issue for the phone. Updates have broken Google docs twice. Bottom bar keeps losing its setting, don't like the new menu browsing, havnt been able to usb connect to PC, screen cracked in my pocket for no reason I can figure and it's incredibly lacking generally in robustness.

I also don't like that none of these phones maintain performance beyond 18 months anymore. Not an issue for me as work provides my phones but it's a disgrace that this has become an accepted norm right as the upgrade differential has fallen off a cliff.
