Has anyone topped up their Revolut with a PTSB Credit Card. I know Revolut have a 1% fee but is there any free from PTSB themselves? Is it counted as a cash advance or a point of sale transaction?

All card top ups are treated as regular card transactions by the banks.

There is a top up fee from Revolut? I haven't noticed that.

Only on Credit Cards. Debit cards are fine. I edited my post to emphasise "Credit".

I'm going to do a Credit card top up of €2350 shortly and try to withdraw it to my bank account. As I plan to pay back the credit in a 2 month time frame its the cheapest/easiest way I can think of going about this??

No, I started a new one here.
Amazingly similar stories, 15/16 month old, US transactions.

Hope they sort this mess & don't carry on doing this to customers - their European Banking License application might be in jeopardy!

Wonder if there is any easy way to spot these transactions? I was in the states for a month about 20 months ago and again for 4 days 13 months ago. Both myself and my wife used our revolut cards extensively on these trips.

We've also used them a lot since especially over the last month so wouldn't have spotted if the balance reduced by a small bit (have positive $,€ and £ balances). I would have spotted a rogue transaction mind you if it was listed in the app. The big concern for me is that the transactions, by all accounts, didn't appear in transaction log in the app for November 2017?

Has anyone found if there is an easy way to identify if you've been affected by these rogue transactions (without for example seeing your zero balance going negative or spotting an unexplainable change in credit balances?

    Hi all, quick query.

I'm going to America in January and having been topping up my revolut card and converting to dollars. USD is the only currency I have on the card, if I make a withdrawal from an ATM at Dublin airport, will I be given dollars?

Unless it's below 5k your out of luck.
    From the faq.
Card spending is limited to £30,000 or equivalent per year with a sublimit of £5,000 or equivalent per 96 hours meaning that you cannot exceed £5,000 or equivalent in card spending in a 96 hour period. Cash withdrawals from ATMs are limited to £2,000 or equivalent per day."

Still no sign of a fix for the 3D Secure bug on Android. 7 months since they were made aware of it going by their forums. Gotta say I find that pretty shoddy. I'm only a recent user but it means I can't use my bank card to top up my Revolut account.

Just signed up for a card as I'll be traveling outside the EU next week and again in Feb, so thought it would be handy to avoid the exchange fees. Didn't realise it wasn't instant to get a card...There are nearly 800 people ahead of me :( I've sent out invites, but I'd say it is unlikely any of my friends will get one. Guess I won't have it for next week but at least I'll have it for Feb and any further trips after that (plus all the £ online shopping i do!)

Thanks, do you have a link - I can't see it on the website?

Edit: found it, the offer has ended for the visa beta trial :( I've moved up about 100 places overnight, looks like it will take a week at this pace. Bit of a stupid system really.

I’m having problems with Amazon orders now. I place an order and the following day the money seems to come out fine then a few days later Amazon request the money again and it’s declined (since I only tip up by the amount I would need originally) . This means my order isn’t processed for shipped. Have ordered loads before and it’s never happened it only started last week or so. Very annoying

Same happened to me over the weekend, noticed a declined payment to amazon for £26 yesterday, I already received the goods for this payment. Contacted amazon they said the payment was taken at the time and it was an error. But this morning I woke up to find £25.50 returned to my revoult account from amazon and a new payment to amazon for same amount.
Goods are shipped but money still in my account. Hope its not going to be a problem down the line and amazon stop taking payments from the revoult card.

Yep think the same thing happened me. Had an order for around £65 which had two shipments. Was charged £65 twice as both dispatched, even though one item was only £5.

Presume it will come back as well.

This happened to me with a standard ptsb debit card, the amount was authorised twice as it was 2 shipments. Took about a week before the duplicate authorisation eventually disappeared. Don't think it's a revolut specific thing.

I'm noticing bank transfers to my revolut account a lot slower now. It used to be 2 hours. Now it's taking up to 2 days before it appears on my account

Buying Amazon credit before placing your order is the best way to avoid all this hassle.

Is there a way to use Revolut to pay in Dollars on PayPal. I tried put a transaction through on a site that accepts Dollars but the Revolut was paying in Sterling and PayPal was converting to Dollars

Just got this mail from Revolut re issue with ATM withdrawals.

We’ve been made aware that a small number of customers are having issues with ATM withdrawals due to a technical error with one of our third-party providers.

To be as open and transparent as possible, we wanted to give you a heads up on this issue and let you know we are already working with our partner on a fix as we speak.

If you have been affected by this issue already - any funds that left your account due to a failed ATM withdrawal will be returned to your account shortly. To improve reliability moving forward, we’re already working to bring these systems in-house in 2018 and therefore reduce our reliance on third-party providers.

Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter further, please reach out to support agents through in-app chat or our social media.

    Thanks you and sincere apologies,
    The Revolut Team

You need to be signed up to Premium for Crypto or else invite 3 friends to revolut
