If he does testify that Trump instructed him to contact the Russians during the election, impeachment becomes realistic.

This will be dragged out until the mid term elections however which means 2019 at the earliest if ever. An impeachment vote will not be passed unless the Democrats hold the House of Representatives which they currently do not.

He will never be removed from office though. The numbers simply aren't there and Republicans won't turn on their own president.

It will never come to that, Trump will walk long before he's pushed. His ego is too big, once the tax cuts go through, I think he will become less and less interested.

The GOP senators are literally queueing up to make their own amendments to the tax bill they are going to vote on later - without seeing everyone's amendments. Anyone wanna bet how many amendments are favourable to the wealthy, and how many to the poor? America is f*cked up how it does legislation...

It’s such a ridiculous system. Imagine such an important piece of legislation going through without anyone reading it

Seemingly the lobbyists have seen the amendments and added their two cents, before the Democrats who have to vote on it, get to see them. As bad as Ireland is, I'd take it over their so form of democracy any day. It's just democracy for hire.

His ego is the exact reason he won't walk. He can't be pushed. It takes the House of Representatives to vote for impeachment and two thirds of the Senate then to ratify his removal following the impeachment process. The Republicans control both houses. It would take a massive collapse in the mid terms for the Democrats to gain control. It's never going to happen.

This isn't normal order though. This is a midnight robbery for a terrible piece of legislation and they are getting away with it.

    It's extraordinary.

Apparently included in the amendments to the "tax bill"(which passed) were an abortion law reclassifying life at conception and a clause allowing the drilling of oil in Alaska's wildlife preserve. If somebody had told me this in the pub I'd have thought they were taking the piss.

If that comes out as true there are going to be riots over the weekend.

A bit more has emerged about it since, while it wasn't straight up legislation on abortion, it was definitely something that could be used as a legal toe in the door.

Any democracy where politicians can subvert normal order in that manner is f*cked up though. Big money has completely taken over, democracy is dead.

Totally. It's unfix-able as well. Democrats would't get away with this from their voters so every time there is a Republican government they'll just ignore the rules and do what they want again. They've broken government permanently and now something has to change dramatically.

Watching a show about Oasis and second generation Irish in the UK on TG4. Excellent show. We've lost so many good people to emigration

It's kind of a crazy thought experiment in that if Liam and Noel's parents hadn't of moved to England and they were brought up in Mayo would they have made the same music, or just been an earlier version of The Hardy Bucks.

    Justice League is absolute pants.

It's actually a terrible film. There are parts where you can see just how embarrassed the cast is at the absolute state of it.

I just don't get how you take all these great characters that have literally millions of pages of brilliant content behind them and turn in a movie like this.

It's basically 'money shot' the movie because that's all it is. Get the cast together in their outfits and have them regularly stand beside each other and act badly.

If WB had any sense they'd jettison the entire project now and start over.

Josh Gordon back for the Browns on Sunday!

He's had a good start. 3 catches for 46 yards.

They've gone about building the cinema universe completely backwards. JL showed all these new characters at a glance as if they each have at least one solo movie behind them giving them back story and when something happens to a side character I'm supposed to care? Nah. They'd be wise to use the Flash solo movie to try start over but WB don't seem to get this at all so they won't. It's a shame though there was part of JL where I saw what if could be if Snyder wasn't involved. Batman fangirling was my favourite bit though. We won't talk about Stepinwolfs CGI.

I must be one of the only people who actually enjoyed Batman vs Superman. It was not a well made film, it was all over the place and did not tell a great story. Still, I liked it.

I really liked the Afleck iteration of Batman, it was like the film, not a whole lot of anything other than darkness, it's where he's been driven to. Never liked Superman, but still. Cavill is decent.

It kind of grows on you I think. Has some good moments: "Is she with you?" ;)

Is the Hue kit worth it? What do you get in it?

At the moment I am still getting used to all the functions. I like the dimmer lights and stuff.

I am using IFTTT to do a bunch of rather ridiculous things just to see if they actually work. I think the best so far is I've got the lights to come on when my fitbit detects that I've woken up... If it actually works I'll disable it straight away.

Thing is though, that was more or less one of the only moments of levity in the entire film. And people slated it for that. It was dark, it was brooding, it was suffocating in it's nature. I liked it for that. And I'm not even emo.

My apologies if this has been asked and answered before but are there any English language French rugby podcasts around? My knowledge of it is terrible outside of the Champions Cup teams and even then it's 'name' players only.
