I had them a few months ago too - ended up having to call the non-emergency helpline and they told me to go to hospital and organised an appointment (this was at 11pm).
It had all passed by the time i got to the hospital. Felt like a fraud by the time i was there, but jesus it had incapacitated me!

Never in my life have I felt pain like it!! In all seriousness if that's what childbirth feels like then any woman who has more than 1 child is a fool!!

Another option is two smaller ones, or even four.

This is what I did. I couldn't afford a large touch screen so I got a regular monitor and then hired a Chinese person to click on whatever I pointed at.

I don't think they can actually dictate like that tbh. It's your wifes choice throughout.

Not if you're public, they just keep you on the holding ward (where it can't be given) till it's too late. Then when you're moved to the delivery suite, it's not an option. When my second daughter was born, Holles street were pushing for the heights rate of natural births in Europe. There was a woman of African origin screaming the place down when we arrived, she continued to do so for the next 15 hours, she didn't get one despite begging for it from the get go.

Jesus! We had the complete opposite experience in UHG (also going public). Nothing was too much trouble for the midwives, epidural offered no problem, doctor and anaesthetist available whenever required. Are you saying a natural birth means a woman can't have an epidural? I would have thought they were all natural except for a c section...

I see BBC news is reporting that an agreement has been reached between the UK and EU that there'll be no hard border in Ireland.

Yeah. Everyone born in NI will be entitled to EU citizenship after Brexit. No hard border.

From what I read this morning somewhat briefly it's that no matter how well or badly the Brexit talks go Northern Ireland will be insulated. If there is a no deal hard Brexit then NI will stay in the EU.

If however there is a deal between Britain and the EU then as part of this deal there will be continued reference to Northern Ireland and exceptions made.

It sounds for all the world that May has signed England up for a fairly soft Brexit and forgive me for being optimistic but I think with a soft Brexit there is a decent chance that there will be a second referendum to ratify it or to retain the status quo. A soft Brexit is not what a lot of Tories and voters want but on the other hand it's the only viable solution outside outside of just dropping the entire thing.

I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions and it doesn't sound like much of a solution but it keeps things moving forward which is a shame.

Interestingly this is the first time this week the dailymail has reported directly on Brexit on their front page. The little England brigade has suffered badly this last two weeks so will be interesting to see where things go from here.

It's a nonsense. Regulatory alignment. So the UK have left the EU just to sign up to aligning with all their regulations and standards in order to maintain a FTA arrangement.

That means they've gone from living under the regulations with some small say in how the standards are defined (and loads of opt-outs they had negotiated over 40 years), to living under all the regulations with absolutely no say in how the standards are defined. The only (somewhat) solid ground that Brexit had to stand on was the issues of a lack of democracy and transparency within the EU, and signing up to this just completely throws that argument out of the water. Now they'll end up marching backwards in terms of their sovereignty, paying a huge divorce bill, taking a massive economic hit, being effectively unable to sign any reasonable trade agreements with any country who do not already have one with the EU, and they'll gain absolutely nothing out of it.

If they don't have another referendum they're totally and completely daft. There's surely no way this process can reach completion before enough people cop on.

Surely a completely unqualified, inappropriate, abusive, narcissistic and hate filled lying megalomaniac couldn't become President of the good old US of A?

Certain democracies have shown us that there is no level of stupid that they won't sink to. We'd be fools not to lower our expectation levels as a result.

Your average Brexiteer would probably struggle to pick out NI on map. The Brexit minister himself proudly proclaimed the other day that they hadn't done a single impact assessment on leaving the EU. These people are morons.

Davis claimed they had done 57 assessments. Then when asked to produce them for parliament they magically don't exist. According to Laura Kuenssberg at the Beeb (who is a conservative commentator) they do exist, they're called Market Access Assessments, she has seen them, and they're incredibly pessimistic.

So the suggestion, it seems to me, is that Davis was forced to take that one on the chin and look like even more of a wally, rather than reports written by DExEU that make Brexit look like a monumental error make it out into the wild. I'd imagine the reports would totally erode their negotiating position if Michel Barnier turned up with them.

Channel 4 had a video asking UK people to draw the border last week. I'm sure it was edited to only show the worst but holy **** they were idiots. Here it is

I would suggest that the majority of people I met during my time living in the UK would be equally incapable of drawing the border. Or even knowing that one exists.

But my time in Dublin would also lead me to believe that the majority of people I know here would be unable to draw the Scottish/Welsh borders particularly well!

One of the Irish channels did a follow up on this asking Irish people to draw the Scottish, English and Welsh borders and got equally laughable results. It's not the border of their own country but still..

You're probably right. Amir Khan and your man Jamie on I'm a Celebrity last night spent 20 minutes trying to work out where Australia is. I thought they were messing at first but it was obvious they were clueless after a minute or so. This after Khan said he's good at geography because he travels a lot. They then pointed at Russia and said I think this is America. People's stupidity never ceases to amaze me

People aren't inherently stupid, we simply live in a world where most people survive quite comfortably by only gaining competence in a small number of things. They are then trusted with making complex political and economic decisions in elections and referenda.

    TL:DR - satnavs caused Brexit.

One thing's for sure. No other country would even consider leaving the EU now without doing a boatload of work first.

Yeah I've lined up this evening after the Glasgow game to have a run at it. Looks like a nice map though not sure how it will stack up to the first one.

It’s a game where a hundred people get dropped into an island and the last person alive wins.

It’s the gaming equivalent of the Republican Party’s social policy.

It's a shooting game, but it's a fairly cool concept. The map is rather large, and the round begins by 100 players on a plane flying in a line across the map jumping out and parachuting down to the start location of their choice. They have no weapons or equipment and have to search in buildings etc to find them. Areas of greater weapon density will have more players, so you have to game theory your drop zone.

    Once you're dead, you're gone.

After a few minutes a white circle will appear at random, and a few minutes after that a blue circle will close in on the white circle. Anyone caught outside the blue will begin to die. Once the blue closes in on the white a smaller white circle will appear within the first, and the blue will shrink again. Thus decreasing the playing area until after 30 or 45 minutes there are only 4 or 5 players left alive. The circles will continue to force players closer together until ultimately one survives and wins the round.

He lives in Brazil. He lived in my neck of the woods but I don’t think I actually don’t know anyone who knows him, even people from the same area/army brats. I think he was quite reclusive unlike r’Jamie who was good at rugby and therefore socially acceptable.

I also think he’s got about 10 years on me, I think he’s like 40 which means he’s probably old, very boring, and likely going to die soon.
