Re the poached eggs and the best way. Well I was in a friend's house recently and he just put the eggs in the shell into the bubbling water for a minute.

Took them out and cracked them into the swirling water. Voila. Perfect poachies. And no runny bits of white stuff either. Half and half lol.

But I may have been tired and emotional at the time! Still they were perfect to me anyway.
Tried that, just got half the white sticking to the shell.

Porridge, topped with a good scoop of Glenisk yogurt, which is then topped with raspberries.

This time of year the raspberries are thawed, collapsing in a little pool of fragrant juice, may need a light sprinkle to sweeten them.

This is one of my top favourite breakfasts of all time.

Aw sorry to hear that. I think timing is important. When I said a minute in my previous post it could have been a little less. Trial and error. Better luck next time!

1/4 tub greek yoghurt topped with a few oats, almonds pieces, walnuts and chia seeds. It's a recent thing for me to have a healthy brekkie rather than a slice of toast and it is surprisng how filling it is!

Poached egg on toast. My most perfect poached egg ever, using the tea strainer method :)

Ah it was terrible, centras brand of "special flakes" - they're horribly sweet but I was hungry and handed a bowl of them. Followed by a packet of pickled onion crisps. Not even coffee. Bad start to the day!

Still on the water porridge with raisins here. Might do avocado toast tomorrow.

Made a chilli yesterday (which is simmering in the slow cooker for when I get in from work) so robbed a portion of it this morning for the breakfast. Topped with a poached egg.

Just after finishing half a frozen pizza. We're doing a great job (I think) of looking after our baby. Ourselves... not so much.

Last week I made non-dairy American style pancakes which we slathered with lemon curd.

In the process I burned myself on my teppanyaki grill. It is very sore. Such is life.

    Well, 5 eggs :)

Not sure this is when you ask for a recipe; surely it's a concept? However, a few pointers would help about the pastry and when you add the rest :)

ETA: I hadn't seen Gremlinertia's post above when I was writing mine, so not a comment on that.

Get a roll of puff pastry and roll it out on a baking tray. Cover it in pizza/pasta tomato sauce. Skin some sausages, black and white puddings, roll each into small balls and scatter. Likewise with chopped up bacon. Stick into 180c oven for 15 mins. Take out of oven and crack some eggs over it. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Simples! :)
