If that is released over here I wouldn't think twice about upgrading from the 5.

Anyone else finding headphone performance poor? Using relatively decent headphones and the 5t sounds no where near as good as the op3, not that the op3 was excellent or anything...

Yes it's pretty crap. I came from a HTC ten which was light years better. Ended up buying a dragonfly red DAC to improve performance

Anyone that has the 5t did it come with screen protector installed? What are people recommending for cases?

Just ordered 128gb version with priority shipping. Exciting!
It says on the account that expected dispatch 1st of december! I presume it will get updated eventually.

Also have Dec 1st expected dispatch day. I'll hope it'll go before that

With regards to the soft shell cover that shipped with the phone, was that only included with the orders on launch date, if I buy the phone now will this be included?

Presuming it does come with the soft cover, what's the quality of the cover like, would it be worth laying the extra €20 for a protective case?

The contents of the box are listed here at the bottom of the page

Can't speak for quality of case

No power button is fine in mine - you probably should contact oneplus support.

Some random thoughts on the phone after giving it a brief once over (its bought for herself and I have a U11).

The screen is excellent, big and vivid and I don't see the 1080p as an issue at all when compared side by side with 1440 u11.

My primary concern was the camera and I found it comparable again with the u11 in low light. Completely different colour saturation but same levels of detail.

Software is nice and smooth. Not sure what's up with the layout in the dialer with the tabs along the top all small and bunched to the left though.

    It's there under "Specs":

    "In the box

    1x OnePlus 5T
    1x Screen Protector (pre-applied)
    1x Translucent Case
    1x Dash Type-C Cable
    1x Dash Power Adapter
    1x SIM Tray Ejector
    1x Quick Start Guide
    1x Safety Information"

It comes with screen protector but it's not tempered glass. Also includes a see through case.

If you want durability go with Karbon as it covers all sides
If you want design and grip go for Sandstone (note: does not cover all sides)

Is it just me or that I came from OP3 (so old battery/less efficient CPU) but the battery life on the oneplus 5 is exemplary! Really impressed.

I came from the OP2 to the OP5. The battery was much better but the Dash Charge was the best thing for me.

OP3 should be dead at this hour hahha

There's a customised version of TWRP that's supposed to work without any issues. Some thread on the OP forum has it, dated 27/11/2017. I couldn't get it to flash with the latest official version of TWRP, so I went back to stock recovery! It was a successful update, but it corrupted the sdcard section of the ROM and wouldn't boot!

I re-locked to BL to trigger a system wipe, to get it to load again! :)

TBH, I can't pinpoint what went wrong! :D

From my experience the op3 was just as good or almost as good when it was new compared to the 5t.ofmcoirde the 5t has a slightly higher capacity so that will help.

I remember the 3 started to get worse around the 3 month mark.

So the BBC sent the Click team to OnePlus just before the 5T came out.

Don't worry - oneplus order status can be very erratic - I've had phones in processing and next thing I know they've been delivered.

Actually same. Still processing and I ordered it on tuesday night. I payed for premium delivery too.

I am off friday, monday and Tuesday, so I was expecting it to land on those days.

I quite like the simplicity of the see-through case that comes with this phone. That's what I'm using now -despite having the Sandstone case that I bought on ordering. For one thing, I can't fit the small metal plate between the phone & the Sandstone case that I use to attach to the car holder (magnet). The basic rubber one allows for this and works well.

But I guess it's possibly not the best shock-absorption-wise. ...Can anyone with the silicone case tell me if it'd be possible to keep a small metal plate (skinnier than a coin) between the phone and the case? I'd rather not go to the trouble of buying TWO cases for it that are no good to me!

...I also removed the tempered glass cover. I found the auto-brightness feature was being caught-out by its shadow on the camera-lens -often making it too dark. ...Besides that I made a mess putting it on one too many times. My mistake there though.

Anyway, with gorilla glass 5 I'm not expecting it to damage too much. Why bury it?

I found the battery on my 3 dreadful.
Worst battery on any phone I've ever had.
My 5t still going strong since full charge around 5.30 this morning.

I got 7 and a half hours of SOT from my first charge of the 5T, that's some start to battery life.
