Any reason for no FFA or no vote on thread?

I now get how people could spot obscure tasks in other games, not that I've really spotted any but I feel for the people with no experience of wrestling (but think it'd be a great theme still).

Still think if we don't see anything better we can't ignore Des. Attention seeking or not he still did a number of wrestling catchphrases one after another and never came back to explain himself.

    Why not Vernon?

Let's say 6 say they are voting one way, 4 another and the rest are 1s or 2s. Then the person who had 4 'votes' gets lynched we could reasonably suspect that something is up. We might be able to find where one person was lying, maybe.

wolves would hop on the most popular, then it becomes he said she said as we eliminate the list hitting wolf and villager a like doing there job for them

it's prety much us trying to just give ourselves what we would often get after a vote in other games. Yeah we know some of the votes are wolves and therefore it won't be fully accurate but any info is better for the village than none especially if you already have your suspicions on someone and then can check if their supposed voting matches up with how they steered conversations etc.

Wolves probably would, but would they do so if the most popular was a wolf?

I also really do not think Gillberg's death could trigger something for team WWE as the only reason I can think of people Gillberg in the game (such a low level name that he) is that he has the connection to Goldberg. I'd guess when Gillberg dies he triggers Goldberg being able to kill and maybe to keep an eye out for Goldberg or WCW terms. I'd suggest some to look out for but then I'd be wolfie for saying them.

It is a flawed system i'll give you that, afterall what if the person keeping track of the votes was a wolf :pac: but sure it's something to get people talking on thread until someone incriminates themselves.

I realise there would be ways to game the system, some quite easy. But we might get some info, even if it is from a slip. Do you think it is completely worthless and a waste of time?

    #FFA1

    Mary, wrestling references

Jake, majority of posts yesterday, was first to post here.

Nigel, could be bluffing by appearing strange, dont see how getting intentionally lynched could benefit any team.

will try to check back later if I get a chance.

Morning All, I should be firing on all cylinders today, unlike yesterday.

Have the mods confirmed we wont be getting any of the vote results or was that just an once off?

That was going to be my next post :)

    Yes.

So those who FFA'd and said who they voted for were:

Isla, Steve, Mary, Phil, Orla, Angus, Tegan and Jake.

Those who did not do an FFA but said who they voted for were:
Holly, Gabriel, Riona, Doris, Frank, and Wendy.

Those who FFA'd but haven't said who they voted for were:
    Barbara.

And those that gave us nothing were:
Vernon, Gertrude, Abigail, Desmond, Derry and Liam. (Disregarding dead Nigel)

    I have a proposal.

There are probably wolves in each of the above categories so as to seperate themselves.

From the three larger categories, we each say who we think is a wolf and that comprises an FFA for today. Barbara can be subbed in for either of the first two categories if necessary.

I'm also not discounting the possibility of subterfuge by the wolves and that the person at the top of the votes was Hogan who used his creative control to avoid the lynch.

That would involve there being a shared backroom in existence though. It's unlikely given the amount of people declaring they voted Nigel, but still want to put it out there.

It would also mean our data is useless.

As a side note, I'd say QB is screaming at me in the DR in my poor presentation of the data :pac:

Its easily gamed and obviously flawed. Never a fan of something like that

Also, if Bret is out there and can invite someone into his room, I would ask he invites me when he can. There are reasons for this but I don't want to go into them for now.

Only invite someone if your confident they are not a wolf. Don't want to out yourself to the wolves Bret

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,006 ✭✭✭Angus WW

cant edit but I now realise that would not out Bret doh

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,592 ✭✭✭Isla WW

We need to work out a way to build up a trusted village core. I have a way of proving myself, but it would wind up proving detrimental to the village in the grander scheme of things if I were to do so. If Bret is willing to trust me, I would explain to him initially and then on thread.

doing that without revealing who is important to the wolves is difficult, don't want to make roled players on the WWE side targets.

Intrigued by Babs' new way of FFAing, i decided to give it a go.

Lets not forget, one of our roled goodies could have a the power to see the votes.
Interesting theory, are you basing that on anything or just a hunch? It would be a nice power to have when the village are so crippled by the lack of votes.
    Isla WW wrote: »

Hmm not sure I like this plan. I would prefer a wide open FFA instead as this narrows the voting list. Why can't I put you on my FFA if I so choose? I don't like removing choice from people.

I didn't do an FFA yesterday as I saw no point. I had suspicions about a number of people but nothing concrete and not enough to make a list. I went with Nigel for his posting slip up. I assume Gillberg did have a backroom and he got mixed up there. It was a bad mistake.

You sound like someone worth a Seer check but also if your not a wolf you may be putting yourself at risk by saying you can do something that in the grander scheme wouldn't be good for them.

    Morning everyone

I thought picking an precise time for us all to declare our vote would leave the wolves with nowhere to hide but I get that we may not all be here at the same time.

It’s a balls not knowing the results. Would having a longer window for declaring not leave us open to bandwagon jumping again?

We should not distribute our votes, just everyone vote for whomever wins the FFAs.

Yep, Isla is definitely sounding like a wolf here, otherwise she'd be munched by the Wolves for saying she has a plan/part to play for the village.
