No catch, customs charges are included. So many boardsies have used them. I've never had an issue although sometimes they are slow if an item is out of stock. Also their customer support is pretty crappy but I've ordered so many times I'm used to deliveries sometimes taking upto 4 weeks. Always pay with PayPal to be safe.

Cheers. What's the expected delivery time if the item is in stock?

    Do they come from China?

I don't think they have more than a one star rating on any reviews :pac:

any decent deals around on either of the phones discussed here. Would Black Friday change your minds on which to go for now?

Not under €300 but the new htc u11 life is on offer for €340 for black friday available through the htc ireland site.

Looks like a decent phone running android one.

Just ordered the LG V20 from eGlobal for 305 euro incl insured delivery which added 6 quid to the cost.

Use code BUYBE4LEAVE to get 6 quid off at checkout

Picked up the nextbit robin (there's a thread in this forum discussing it) for 122 euro delivered from the states. Delivery took about a week and no customs charges.

    Cracking phone for the money.

If you want a HTC, why not get the U Ultra? It's better than the 10 and only 295e on eglobal..

399 for the 10 is not a deal, it's an old phone at this stage.

Amazon.it had the Moto G5S Plus 3GB RAM 32GB memory for €200. See now that Geekbuying have the Xiaomi Mi A1 4GB RAM 64GB memory for €190 (if apply discount GEEKBUY20 at checkout).

Is there a massive difference between the two phones, and would most support the opinion that customer service will always be better with Amazon?

got the redmi note 4 grey 3gb, 32gb yesterday from Geekbuying Italy stock yesterday for €143 delivered. From Europe so no customs worries and quicker delivery hopefully.
applied some code for 6% off to get that that I found by googling a bit.
buying fore someone who won't need 64gb so happy with the price.
may still have some in stock.

I see that the new redmi note 5 is sticking with the same qualcomm processor as the 4. does have the nice new 18:9 screen ratio tho with thin bezels.
Probably will be available early next year.

Does it have android 7.0 or can it upgrade to android 7.0

How do you find the camera, the fingerprint sensor and the responsiveness of the phone.

    https://www.eglobalcentral.eu/motorola-moto-g5s-plus-xt1805-32gb-dual-sim-lunar-gray.html

This seems to be a great price compared to the likes of amazon and from reading here everyone likes the phone and there should be no problem with customs (this ships from Europe after being sent from HK)?
Only thing is does this definitely have NFC - read varying reports/specs saying yes and no

A bit worried about buying off Chinese sites

It was €199 on amazon.it two days ago. The European model of the g5s plus definitely has nfc not sure about the Asian model.

300 now, was it definitely the plus? Some listings show the lowest price for different model then give the real price on the product page when you select the right model

Yep was definitely the g5s plus, think it was a black friday special. Keep an eye on it as it often drops to €219 and €229 on amazon.it

There's not a huge difference in the g5 plus amd g5s plus and the g5 plus is €218 on amazon.de at the moment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,139 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Link posted earlier is for the G5 not the S version - would make the price about right for that model

    Edit
There was another link posted to the correct model but now 300

Decisions, decisions - want it before Xmas

Got the g5s+ off the amazon.it site, down to 240, 20 euro more than the other day but not the end of the world for a nice phone and worth the extra 20 euro vs buying from a Chinese site with the risk of customs, long delivery and no European warranty

Can you believe geekbuying when they claim to have an item in stock in Italian or german warehouses?

Doesn't take much googling to find out about them (and the ilk) - one suggested on here (gearbest) put me off after more than a cursory search
Take any review websites like trustpilot with a very large pinch of salt - very easy to get negative reviews removed

One thing I found about geekbuying is if there is a problem you have to return it to China
