That pisses me off. Most female prisoners can attend colleges and do full bachelor degrees and have the keys for their own rooms and can leave the building as they please.

Men are locked in their room 23 hours a day. None of the men are allowed out to do college courses like the women.

Women prisoners have more opportunities to turn their lives around when in prison. Men are denied this. This leads to higher recidivism for men.

Men have to **** in a bucket in the room on front of other men.

    Women have private toilets.

Men have cold water showers and the showers are communal.

Male prisoners get inferior food. Women prisoners have a menu and the food budgets for dochas centre is multiples of men’s prison.

    Don't forget the ridin -

Women prisoners be like : "i'll be late back them f***** want me to do extra tutorial today "

Female prisoners deliberately get pregnant on day release or just after committing a crime so they won't have to go to jail.

Is it just me or does ''scissor sisters'' sound like incestuous lesbian sisters scissoring each other? .....on second thoughts, probably just my warped mind. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

Them two gals would scare ladies straight. Ugly bitches.

So much bullsh*t in one post unless you're speaking about 20 plus years ago.

I work in prison myself. Men aren't locked in their cell 23 hours a day unless they're in solitary confinement on punishment. Nobody has to sh*t in a bucket, all cells have their own toilets with running sinks, kettles and a TV. The showers are perfectly warm. The food is fine in the men's side. Plenty of prisoners are doing educational courses in house and a handful are released everyday to attend courses.

A woman who gets pregnant on day release is released from prison and she gets off her sentence scott free. Even if she is in for murder or terrorism.

The first thing that came to mind reading this was that episode of South Park that's a parody of 300 where the lesbians are scissoring eachother

I spend 12 hours everyday in a prison, I've never seen a cell that looks like that. It may be an old strip cell (actually looks like a holding cell in a Garda station or something tbh) but there's a toilet there which goes against your sh*tting in a bucket theory.

This is what a typical cell looks like:

The image you provided is a stock image of an American prison cell.
It would also be worth reading the article you , yourself provided about women being pregnant in prison.
I've worked in prison not as a prison officer in the past and now work with ex prisoners, you're talking through your chicken roll.

The poster also said women have children to get out of sentences automatically, including for getting off scott free from murders... I'd love to see the stats for that! Anyway there's literally babies in the female prison. There were two there when I was last in it. The women are allowed to have the babies in there with them until they're 12 months old.

His awareness is of the female reproductive system looks pretty entertaining too.

Didn't your man Farah Noor mentioned in connection with murdered teen Raonead Murray before, leading to a few rumours that he was involved possibly.

Down with this sort of thing! There but for the grace of God (?) go any one of us. Both Linda & Charlotte were subjected to unspeakable horrors as children. The abuse continued into their teens. That either girl survived is miraculous. Yes! Their victim was treated inhumanely - but no more inhumanely than those girls were as youngsters. I wish them well, both Linda & Charlotte.

It's the bally ballyness of it that makes it all seem so bally bally.

Back the thread somewhere it is mentioned that he was connected with this and subsequently taken out of the picture for it.

Their mother was put through a horrid time with Noor also, so their hard times lasted beyond their childhoods and teens up until when it happened. Looks like they were pushed over the edge and went too far.

Catchy names like Scissor Sisters and the dramatic daily coverage of the crime tend to make you forget that these are actually people. I spoke with Charlotte and she wasn't at all what I thought she'd be. You expect this monster with the dark eyeliner to terrify you but she was actually fairly softly spoken, polite and 'normal'.

I meant every day that I'm in there, I spend 12 hours in it. Iam working 6 days this week so it's only 72 hours, not quite 84. Such bull, I know!

    For anyone who's interested in what it's like, I did an Ask Me Anything a few years ago. I'll post the link here;

Feels like that sometimes! You spend more time most weeks with convicted criminals than you do with your own family.

I think the Gardai subsequently ruled Noor out for Raoneads murder. Its been speculated that her murderer is known and local but very well connected.

I honestly think that man got exactly what he deserved. The country is better offwithout him. The ladies undoubtedly saved other innocent people from rape and abuse. I think their sentence was far too long, and media furore driven. I hope they do OK when they are out. Good luck to them both.

I never knew you were a prison officer.missed that link a few years back I'll read it in a moment thanks for sharing it,
And for the couple of doubters questioning your credentials I am lucky enough to make friends with a good few decent officers in mountjoy who work 8_8 most days and they spend more time with criminals for definite, then with their families..
Very tough job , I would not be able for it personally . Utmost respect for old wardens.

He raped a disabled teen pretty fitting end for him if you ask me. If they hadn't chopped him up they'd of have gotten half the sentence.
