This is something special. Two episodes in and would have been more if not for the fact that I needed to sleep.

Phenomenal show. Only gripe is that have to wait so long for season 2. The best show netflix have made imo

Holden is the spit of Dennis from It's Always Sunny

    8/10

Kemper was absolutely killing it for a couple of episodes

They could lose the splash screens though

7 episodes in hoping to finish it tonight if the power stays I have to say they are nailing it the closing songs on each episode as well.

Just finished it. Wow. Just wow. What a show. The ending...

Can't believe I must wait another year for season 2. I get the feeling I'll re-watch it in the meantime.

It has everything that I like in a series- engaging characters, suspense, sharp dialogue, conflict... I could go on.

I've watched 3. Good, but I'm slightly wary of the hype. Don't think anyone lights/shoots night scenes quite like Fincher.

    Watched 4 episodes so far.

Its good, not amazing like some are saying, but will stick with it for the series.
The older of the 2 guys is the best character in it, and I also like the big killer in prison.

Presume you mean Ed though Gerry is no lightweight himself.

Fantastic show it really really reminds me of Zodiac probably because David Fischer producing and directing a few of the key episodes. It’s great news that we will get a season 2 and I hope we get a season 3 as well. It makes the Netflix sub totally worth with shows of this quality being produced!

Haven't disliked a TV character as much as Holden's girlfriend in ages. It's not even plot-related, just her crap acting and miserable face made every scene with her a pain. Really hope she isn't in season 2.

As for the show itself, it's very good. Tench is great and the unsettling gentle psycho, Kemper, too.

    Hmm...

On episode nine now and I think I may have jumped the "hype" gun.

I feel it's dragging towards the end. Filler episodes that are anime-worthy with little to no character development and falling in to the case-per-episode formula á la X Files.

    For example,
Wendy being a lesbian. Does it matter? She could have just uprooted her life and decided to move without the break up that we weren't invested in before, nor afterwards.

I think I would have preferred if this series was just six or eight episodes.

Little to no character development? Are we watching the same show? I finihsed it last night. It was phenomenal I thought.

Right up until the end Holden's character has been completely evolving.

    Best show in years.

Hopefully they interview Ed Gein in Season. Someone mentions furniture being made out of bones during a meeting between the group.

I watched the first episode last night.
I didn't think it was that good... presume I just need to keep watching it... ?

Interview with the real Ed Kemper if anyone is interested.

    Keep watching :)

Didn't think episode 1 was the best either but it gets better.

Watched as far as when he walked in the room. I don't mind watching when it's done through a tv show/film played by actors.
Think hearing it directly from a serial killer himself might be a bit too much for me.

Have to say I really enjoyed this series once I got into it. Can anyone explain what the whole point of the tin of tuna scenes were?!? Can't say it developed Wendys character any!!

Hmm... "little to no" is quite harsh all right. Maybe I meant "puzzling"?

After mulling it over I'm wondering why certain characters acted the way they did, or even why we were privy to scenes at all!

The two that bug me still is where
Holden finds Debbie getting friendly with her study partner (why didn't he confront her there and then?). And the 34 minute "development" episode for Wendy. Would it have changed our understanding of her if we didn't know she was a lesbian?

The Fincher episodes were a treat all right.

Maybe it was fatigue as a result of binging the whole season over two days. But I'm sticking to my 6/10 guns. :pac:

I don't think we know for sure yet except that there might be a cat there.

without looking it up, the discussions I've seen so far have me thinking it could be something to develop in season 2 like a stalker or could be something to throw us off

Interesting interview by Charlie Rose with David Fincher and the two lead actors

What was the story with the woman going down to the basement and feeding the cat tuna? I was half thinking there was going to be a plot twist and some man was taking the tuna when she wasn't looking.
