Roger Stone who is a a friend of Trump claims the documents will show Oswald was a CIA spy? This is his claim and he does not say if Trump told him this?

The feigned outrage of boards users at every single little thing that Trump lad does is hilarious 😂

The US establishment knows Trump is mentally unstable and a sick man. He is not the decision maker and has not been for some months now.

Is any US President ever 'the' Decision Maker?

    Yes.

Yes, but Trump is not a well man. He is mentally unfit.

A fit President has full decision making including war if needs be.

Trump does not. That has been removed from him in the national interest. The Chief of Staff, John Kelly, calls the shots. Not Trump.

They don't announce this publicly for the imbecile Trump voter of course.

And just to say - people thought this was a normal press conference by Obama - it was not. This was a well orchestrated warning to all Americans that this man is not fit before the election.

The administration knew the chaos a Trump administration posed.

We could talk about the files, or talk about the irrelevant sitting President who happens to be not blocking their release.

Odd. You'd think Ireland's historical attachment to JFK would have brought the focus there but nope. It's all about Trump.

Of all the things to critise him for (and there are plenty),

This seems to be completely pointless and heading into boy who cried wolf territory

That was firmly established with the Russia dossier. Is it any wonder he still has supporters. Why on earth would they assume everything else hasn't been overblown.

I understand the irony that I'm now talking about Trump.

What's with your man posting about 15 gifs of a JFK speech about racism? Is that supposed to be a dig at Trump and how he's a racist because of his speech about not beating the shit out of 'Nazis'?

    https://twitter.com/yourltldogtoo/status/921737141599825920

It would be mildly interesting to read the files but five minutes later I'll have forgotten about it.

Would we believe what was written in the files anyways...there was a huge hatred for Russia and communism in the US at that time, I'm sure if Oswald had ever worn a red t-shirt they'd have linked him to the KGB somehow

Trump, as per usual, is trying to claim credit for things that are none of his doing. Those files were long since scheduled to be released this month.

    http://time.com/4606082/jfk-assassination-secrets/

Trump isn't trying to claim credit for this, read Trumps own tweet on it. All he said was he will be allowing the scheduled declasification to go ahead, he could stop it if he wanted to. I'm all in favour of bashing Trump but what you've said above is inaccurate. If you start using half truths and taking things out of context to imply a different meaning then were no better than Trump and his idiot supporters.

I wonder how much of these files will be redacted?

I suspect Trump is hoping this will distract the media and everyone else from the other failings of his administration, specifically the controversy surrounding Niger. I also think that the CIA probably don't want this info to be declassified so Trump sees it as a good way to put the boot into them.

The KGB and French Intelligence both conducted their own investigations and concluded LBJ was involved. There were so many that wanted the Kennedy administration ended from the Mafia, Big Texas Oil, CIA to LBJ himself.

Wonder will Ted Cruz's father make an appearance in the files?

Enough released information has came out out to conclude Oswald had connections with government people. How deep the connections go nobody truly knows. Oswald was spending his time with Cuban exile groups months before he shot Kennedy and it's well known those groups are financed and managed by the Central Intelligence agency. Their aim was to overthrow Castro by force. Oswald could also be a double agent infiltrating the Cuban group to give himself an ally and help him logistically carry out the assassination. Oswald probably had accomplices helping him ( extra shooter) or just people supplying him with money, financing, or place to get away and escape?

I think the files will likely show a Cuban/CIA connection. I have my doubts it will link people working at the CIA with the shooting?) If it does explosive.

George de Mohrenschildt was Oswald's CIA handler. As someone who shoots, the most accurate shot is your first shot, in Oswalds case it is his last shot that is the accurate head shot. If there were 2/3 discrepancies fair enough bu there are so many around the Kennedy shooting, the mind boggles.

There is also the case of key witnesses who disappeared or who turned up dead in the years after, none more so than NY journalist Ruth Killgallon.

It is also worth remembering the Select Committee on Assassinations in 1976 concluded that Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. The Warren Commission was a botch job.

As for the shooter(s) well we will never know for sure but E Howard Hunt (one of the Watergate burglars) did confess on his death bed to being part of "the big event" plot to have Kennedy killed.

Co-incidentally I just watched JFK this weekend, In that Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) mentions that these files are due to be released in 2038 - so Trump brought the date forward then ? or are these different documents ?

Seemingly the film helped bring forward the release schedule.

For someone unfamiliar with this whole thing - what is the alternative theory on what happened to him?
Govt insiders shot him is it?
    Save me googling and reading

I would put my house on there being virtually nothing we don't already know in these files
LHO shot JFK from the 6th floor of the TSBD

One thing you can bet on is a flurry of "new" theories and books coming out and the money making machine grinds on

Wasn't the gruesome 'magic bullet' shot to be the back of the head supposed to have been an accident from a secret service agent behind him?

I mean it's all theory etc but that one sounds logical and mundane enough to be credible I'd think.

It's said that JFK's body was altered on the way back to Washington to prove that it was Oswald who shot him

I think the general idea is that Kennedy wasn't too keen on escalating tensions and risking war in southern east asia particularly after the bay of pigs fiasco in Cuba. He had been furious with the army generals who'd made a monumental screw up. Having been chewed out about that to put the foot down, Kennedy was seen as a weak leader by the most senior people in Defence. The cuban missile crisis ensured that mutual assured destruction was a stark reality for the two super powers and the horizon for nuclear exchanges was reduced significantly. Kennedy at the time was 3 years into his presidency and likely to remain until the end of the 60's after re-election. With a country that had a military industrial complex built up since the end of the 2nd World War and was in an ideological 'cold' war with communist Russia the growing influence of communism in south east asia was seen as an affront to US foreign affairs and that the US needed to police against that using conventional warfare. Having been supportive of the south against Diem in the north, who himself was assassinated 3 weeks before Kennedy.

They wouldn't be engaging Russia but would eliminate those who seemingly began to adopt communism. Vietnam was the place. The idea is that why would you spend billions upon billions of tax payer money on machines of war and simply have them lie idle while the true enemy was allowed to grow it's influence abroad. It was Kennedy's preference to use diplomacy in that regard which signed his death warrant.

The idea was that a psychological conspiracy developed among those in power, that it would be in no way bad thing if the President was not the President anymore. It must have been seen as what was best for 'the country' or 'national security'. Just like how US foreign wars are designed to remove 'undesirable' elements from resource rich countries to impose puppet governments for the sole (unstated) purpose of securing those resources for a good price, the conspiracy was to remove Kennedy without making it look like it was murder. Through coded, veiled communiques a group of skilled marksmen was assembled to assassinate him. All the while the same conspiracy moved to ensure that they had a patsy that fitted the official cover story, which was an intricate sequence of events that lead to Oswald winning the role completely unbeknownst to him i.e. it was a disgruntled commie who shot 3 shots off that managed to hit the most protected public servant in the world.

With him out of the way, the choppers and the hardware was now freed up to fight the fight against communism in Vietnam.

    Or something.
