My head isn't working. Trying to come up with creative stuff but not only are the hamsters not turning the wheel, I'm pretty sure they've gone on strike.

Trying to find something to wear to a fecking Halloween party/30th. Who knew a full length yellow leather body suit would be so hard to source??

My company changed its name recently, so I updated my LinkedIn profile yesterday to reflect the name change and I’ve been getting bombarded by messages from people congratulating me on the ‘new’ job

    F*cking LinkedIn.

Took the day off work for my birthday recently. Didn't tell them why I was taking the day off, because feck that. Was relaxing when I get a text from a co-worker saying, "happy birthday".

Didn't know how anyone knew it was that day, because I'm not connected to any of 'em on social media. Landed in the next day to find out I had one as a connection on LinkedIn & that it had sold me out.

    F*cking LinkedIn :pac:

    And Skype. Does it too.

So many times in a previous job I'd get bombarded with messages from potential hires when they saw it was my birthday.

Yeah but there's Kale and Pumpkin seed on it.

New PrePayPower ad. Where yer man is pressing all the wrong buttons and is made out to be yet another stupid dad.
Also, insurance ads just for women, how are they allowed to do this? If it was the other way around there'd be uproar.

Interview recently. Company contacted me the other day to say they are sending me an email. Received nothing so mailed them to make sure they have correct address message. They confirmed they have sent to that email but I haven't received. Checked Spam etc. Sigh.

Ordered grub in a restaurant. Big hair in my rice and beef was cold. Ew. Won't eat there again.

Clickbait is TAing the hole off me. I always get drawn in to what looks like an interesting article only for it to turn out to be crammed with stupid, poorly made gifs (that I am too old or too not with it to recognise), with almost zero information, and thay always read like they are written by a ten year old.

    Probably mentioned before but:

Why do airlines ask you to indicate if passengers are infants or children and then charge you exactly the same as adults? Its not like you are going to book your infant on a flight and then just abandon them at the airport. There is a rule about no unaccompanied minors and they get the ages anyway when you put in passport details. It's particularly galling when you have to pay the same price for an infant sitting on your lap as you paid for yourself.

On the same point, its a bit rich to be charging €20 for a 1KG overweight suitcase while charging a 25KG child the same as a 100KG adult.

so the child is seated next to the adult. children are also not allowed in certain seats.

if you were willing to put the child in the hold they might agree a discount for you.

Absolutely starving but I'm on a diet. And I'm cold. And I'm not helping myself by looking up pictures of decadent pasta dishes and donuts on instagram. Seriously considering just embracing the chub life and eating my weight in cake for dinner.

Yeah, you mean exactly like the way they randomly allocate the seats beside each other regardless of age?

if you were willing to put the child in the hold they might agree a discount for you.

Why? Is a KG in the hold lighter than a KG in the cabin?

Also, sparked from @anna080's post in the trivial happiness thread, I am broody as hell. Hope one of my friends gets pregnant soon so I can get my baby fix!

It's the first baby of our friendship group and I'm beside myself. I only found out this morning and already have the child clothed til it's ten in my head.
But it has spurred an existential crisis about my life right now and how I need to get my sh!t together.

I am so jealous. I think I'm going to have to get another dog to satiate my need for something little and cute to look after...
