    Various forums of boards.ie

I guess to be fair it's not boards.ie fault and it happens on any website where people can comment but so many threads just end up with people bickering. Followed by just oneupmanship and people wanting to "win" an internet argument so much. It gets boring after a while.

Take the hurricane thread. Started out with people posting updates and others to be safe. Then people start bickering and arguing. Urgh.

Just a trivial issue as it happens everyone I guess.

Every long thread ends up a train wreck.

    TAed at this slow train!

I think that's pretty normal, it would happen IRL too but people just don't have the time to have these kind of interactions IRL.
There's always going to be a handful of people with a huge interest in a topic and usually some strong opposing views and then a larger amount of people with a passing interest and then the trolls enjoying throwing fuel on the hot elements of the topic for their own entertainment.

I put up Halloween decorations yesterday including a scary pumpkin man yokamabob on the front door so I can see its silhouette through the glass. Every time I go into the hall it frightens the living sh*t out of me. Every time.

There is something that sporadically buzzes in my bedroom. It seems to be coming from the corner of the room but I can't find what's causing it and it is driving me mad. The missus is convinced that it's one of my vibrators but I'm pretty sure it's not. TA'd that this buzzing is going to keep me awake at night.

In Back To The Future, Marty goes back to November 1955
Bill Haley's Rock Around the Clock was released a few months earlier in May 1955.

TA that Robert Zemeckis didn't manage to use such an aptly titled song in the movie.

The movie is still perfect though.

I just can’t understand the people in this house. They seem to spend the day in their room, emerge at 8.30 to put on a 28 minute wash, back up to the room.
Then come down 2.5 hours later to put the stuff in the dryer, at 11pm at night.
This is the same pleidhc I gave out to for showering at quarter to 1 in the morning.
He’s a student who arrived over from China to study, I feel like checking his homework and demanding to see assignment grades.

It's probably a dying fly. They're dying off and I've seen a few have sporadic buzz spasms on the window cill.
    Or it's your rabbit.

My company changed its name recently, so I updated my LinkedIn profile yesterday to reflect the name change and I’ve been getting bombarded by messages from people congratulating me on the ‘new’ job

Where are you based and what age is your son? I have a PlayStation 3 with a stack of games you can have. It's just sitting here gathering dust. Still in great condition.

Depending on his age, he probably already has one or even a superior one already though.
