    Why would that be photoshop?

140km winds would easily do this.

Top "blogger " Joane Larby aka Make Up Fairy put up some snaps there a short while ago of her and her family and her boyfriend's Dad out dancing and doing exercises on a wall in West Cork midst storm. This girl has a huge following and is an "influencer " and there she is, showing no respect to the seriousness of the weather and the weather warnings and putting it out there for all her followers to see. The Happy Pear are getting backlash on social media for going for a swim this morning before the storm. I don't see how Miss Larbys antics are any less irresponsible.

Can only hope the news of 1 dead will make other people think twice about taking risks.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It's after hours, it's where someone with 7k plus goes to, you know... besides, it's clearly their way of dealing with the stress. It's either this or piss their pants.

How can there be an issue in going for a swim before a storm? East coast seas were perfectly calm this morning?

During or just after the storm is irresponsible.

East coast was unsafe this morning - as the rescue helicopter and 2 lifeboat crews deployed in Louth this morning will testify to.

Describe bad, please. Not meaning to sound smart with that comment. Genuine question. Is it wind and rain, trees bending etc?

Six trees down within a half a mile of my house, roof of the stables is now in the field behind them, and two neighbours houses are after losing a few dozen slates each

Just remember if you do get a power cut your clothes could be stuck in the machine for a good while!

Have no sim-pity for people that get caught out today. With the exception of people dying of course.

I found out about the storm on Friday.
Stocked up on food and batteries on sat.
Sunday moved all outside items around the house inside the shed.
Monday morning, watch all the idiots in cars drive past my house.

Already been out in it, it's overrated. It's just a bit more of a breeze than normal but cue some folk overplaying it. Making it the greatest storm of all time.
