Already been out in it, it's overrated. It's just a bit more of a breeze than normal but cue some folk overplaying it. Making it the greatest storm of all time.

Oh catch on to yourself. It must not have reached you yet. Have you seen the coverage on TV at the moment? Real news, real images. And it is very rough out there.

The death was mentioned on BBC News

Have no sim-pity for people that get caught out today. With the exception of people dying of course.

I found out about the storm on Friday.
Stocked up on food and batteries on sat.
Sunday moved all outside items around the house inside the shed.
Monday morning, watch all the idiots in cars drive past my house.

No sim-pity, some people have to go out, like that lady in waterford. But hey, at least your ok

Leave those ****ers that go swimming, walking along the coast and kite surfing to save themselves.

So how do you explain a tree falling down and killing a person?

Where are you located, maybe it hasn't got to you yet.

RTE will be returning to their continued, never-ending, coverage of Storm Orphelia, but first here's an extended version of the news - entirely devoted to Storm Orphelia.

You don't need those clothes if you're running down O'Connell St. naked.

Strong gusts here in Clare right now, can feel the house giving a little shake every now and again.

Hopefully there's no more fatalities. Poor woman and her family.

And no matter how much coverage they offer you have gotten the name wrong.

What else would you expect a national broadcaster to show during a national emergency?

Is this not as bad as they were making it out to be or is it just very early in the day for it?

It's windy at the minute, maybe it might get worse but I certainly was expecting to see trees being ripped from the ground.

Part of the roof at Turners Cross after coming down. Jesus City will never win the league at this stage.

It really is remarkable. If they or surfers off Donegal want to go and get their thrills fine, let Darwinism do it's bit because there will always be idiots. But there needs to be some kind of formal policy forbidding rescue workers from helping them (because brave and selfless as they are, without one the rescue workers will do so anyway because of their nature).

So it's going to pass right over the aran islands, achill and all the other west coast islands?

    They'll be fookin hammered :(

Plenty of trees have been brought down already in the south of the country - where it has already hit.

Still not much happening in Dublin. Wonder how much of an impact it will have here. I know it's more 3-6 pm it's expected here.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
