Does anyone have issues with international data roaming with oneplus two? In Spain in February I got a local Lebara sim and the data worked fine for two days and then just stopped. This time in Italy roaming on my 48months sim and again the data stopped after two days. I'm beginning to think the phone itself may be the problem. Phone calls work fine and on the GUIDO plan with 650MB+ still available.

I'm on Vodafone and had lot of roaming problems in UK last week. I had to reboot several times over 2 days as I kept losing data connections.
The new update ran last night and didn't notice any problems today.
I wonder is it time to look at the 5?

Ok my OnePlus2 appears to have given up the ghost after one year and 3 months.
    I'm not happy. :(

    The screen has become unresponsive.
It is briefly responsive after power up which allows input of passcode etc. Then when attempting to swipe down from the top it the swipe down fails and snaps back up. Screen then remains on and is unresponsive. The battery gets hot and drains very quickly. The phone is unusable.

I tried wiping the cache and then the data.

The only change now is that the phone is also making a noise similar to a hard drive thrashing.

I'll get on to oneplus support but I imagine I'll be told my warranty is out of date. Has anyone had any luck with them with (what appears to be) hardware issues?

Have mine 18 months now. Only real issue is it takes ages to charge. Approx 8 hours. Screen can freeze occasionally but other than that it's working fine. Still will look to change soon though because the battery charging is doing my head in

Strange. My phone always charged reasonably quickly. I couldn't tell you how long it took as it never bothered me - perhaps an hour and a half or so. An 8 hour charge time sounds extreme and would be a big issue for me too.

Anyways customer support told me I had a two year warranty which surprised me as I thought it was only one year so it's going back via RMA for repair.

Charges quicker in my car. I could buy a new charger but not worth it for an 18 month old phone. Now to decide what phone to get.

Are you still using the original plug and cable?

If not some plugs are absolutely gank for charge speed so it's the most important thing. I bought a load of cables of amazon for like a tenner so I could have one at work, one in the car, one by my bed etc. and they're fine.

Yep the original plug and cable. Wouldn't even bother looking for a new one as I'll be looking to change soon

They cable is prob fk'd. Honestly, they're only a few quid on amazon so you might as well. A lot of new phones are TypeC too.

You can get them anywhere. I was staying in my grannys house in Dublin and forgot my charger one time and got a Samsung charger and type c cable from a chinese phone shop on Moore street. I think it was just under €15 for both items.

I got a couple of these a couple of months ago to have spares.

They came to 17 euro in total with postage/vat etc. Out of stock at the moment though.

    Hey,

Just looking for some help on slow WiFi issues with the Oneplus 2 model. Recently got new eir fibre and the OnePlus is incredibly sluggish on the WiFi while other phones on the Wifi are working perfectly at rapid speeds (Iphones and Samsungs after a slight tweak to Modem settings).

Apparently a fix for android devices is around changing IP address on wifi network settings on phone to Static instead of DCHP and updating the DNS numbers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. This doesn't seem to have made a difference for the one plus.

Also the IP address assigned to the phone doesn't seem to port into the one plus but the samsung androids pickup the IP address and gateway..not sure if this is related (I typed them in manually)

Basically looking to see has anyone had slow WiFi on OnePlus 2 due to phone and any fix work?

(I've used phone on Wifi Connections home and business all around Ireland and the World so seems to be a very particular issue here)

    Thanks

How slow are we talking? Also what do you do with the phone that requires high speed. It's a phone so surely you will just be doing general browsing.

I have the exact same issue with the eir broadband at work. Absolutely rubbish speeds on the phone to the point I just don't connect to the network anymore.

Hey. Incredibly slow. As in last broadband was 2-3 Mbs download speed and it's probably 10 times faster for general browsing and apps etc. I'm now on 150 mbs fibre.

For examples on current broadband, it might take the guts of 30-40 seconds to load a simple webpage on the internet browser or might take 30 seconds to refresh information in apps such as facebook etc.

The strange thing is for downloads once it seems to connect it downloads items extremely quick but for general browsing it's unimaginably slow and sluggish.

Any suggestions would be great as it's extremely frustrating (Aside from buying new modem as that will be final solution if nothing else works)

    Cheers

Which frequency channel are you connecting to? I believe it shows up as 2.4 and 5 ya? Connect to the 2.4 and see if its makes a difference.

Hi - yeah both are options on eir anyway. They are both as bad as each other on the oneplus 2 though.

I don't have this problem and am on the same setup. This is with any rom be it stock or custom.

Are you using Eir broadband on the F2000 Router? Or what router do you have?

    Yes F2000.

Just a thought, I really don't think it's a great router though. It drops WiFi signal quite a bit and I am forever rebooting it to get signals back. I've never had to do this before on other routers.

That's interesting that it works well with the same router. Can I ask have you ever had to change around your router and/or Wifi network settings on the phone? On your wifi network settings is your ip address static or DHCP?

    Thanks

No changes to anything. But it could be your router. There are a good few posts in the broadband section complaining about them.

Alright, thanks. Yeah I'm not sure so. We've actually tried 3 F2000 routers and the OnePlus really didn't work fast on any of them. Although performance did vary slightly with other android products.

It's just surprising that my phone has been compatible with hundreds of WiFi networks around the world and can't work off these routers right.

If anyone else has had slow wifi and found a fix it would be great to know.

Here is a solution from Virgin Media's forum, I had the issue when I got their modem a few months ago, it worked for me -

    1. Log in to modem settings, the settings password is at the bottom of the modem
    2. Click on advanced settings
    3. Click on DHCP settings
    4. On this page go to the ipv section. There will be a box with a green tick in it with the word "stateless"
    5. Untick this by selecting the box beside this with the word "stateful"
    6. Click the apply changes button. A message will appear confirming the changes.
    7. Log out of the modem settings
    8. Switch off the WiFi on your device and turn back on again. There is no need to reboot the modem

Constant problems with the F2000 router this weekend. Some devices would lose wifi whilst others worked. Did reset and factory reset, now all wifi connections are lost.

Luckily, I have a few areas hard networked and am getting around it that way.

I don't know if its the same problem as yours. But I have never had problems like this before on any other router.

Google full of problems with the F2000

Just a quick update on above post.

Modem was replaced and all seems well again (for now).

I am finding my OP2 is lagging a good bit lately - just wondering if others had the same issue and what did you do? Other than that, it works fine. Just looking for tips to help it work better. Like for example, when I click on an app, it takes a few seconds for it to open and yesterday it rebooted itself. I havent added any new apps to it in the last week that may be causing this issue. Just want to see what else I can do other than reset the phone?
