Wouldn't mind a dog, but not sure I would have the heart to leave him or her at home alone for 12 hrs a day. May just get a gerbil or a hamster instead.

Until that I have Jessie, well my mum has Jessie, a beautiful Border Collie since she was only a few weeks old, and who has seemed to replace me as her baby.

I have 4 dogs but only one female and she is the only rescue.
She is a mad bitch, a really mad bitch. She eats everything, poo, rubbish, non-food items, she dug up my flowerbeds and ate the seeds and compost. She has a stomach like a cement mixer!
Recently she outdid herself though, she ate €150, the esb bill, 2 pairs of socks and 2 packets of tissues.
She ate these from my bag, which actually contained actual FOOD that she could have eaten!

She's crazy. She had an awful life before she came to me and she's been with me for 5 years now but I feel she's never going to stop waiting for life to turn to shit again. She's really crazy. I wouldn't trust her alone with anyone really because she is unpredictable and mad as a brush but that's not her fault.

She's getting old now, deaf, shitting in the house, snapping, very grumpy but I'd love for her to accept love before she passes away. I'd love for her to realise she's safe here. I hope her memories as she's leaving the world are of the happy times with me.

This is my cat giving me cuddles last night when I was hungover. She's so cuddly and lovely. I never liked cats until we got her from a friend of a friend, his girlfriend was allergic.

I have 2 and they're the loves of my life.
The oldest is 7, he was my dads dog and now he's mine. His personality reminds me a lot of my dad. Very patient, kind, gentle and laid back. His favourite things in the world are me, his brother, balls, anything that squeaks and licorice sweets.
He HATES the postman. Anyone else could be robbing the place and hell just want to play ball with them but he detests the postman. He barks and barks and barks when the postman is in his van but runs away scared when he gets out. Unless the postman is coming towards me, then he's not having any of it. He will not let him anywhere near me and nearly ate him alive the one time he tried. It's weird because he loves people and isn't like that with anyone else.

He hates me talking to anyone that's not him. If I answer the phone he'll bark at me. If I don't get out of the car straight away he'll stand at the car barking at me.
He has his own very comfy bed and a memory foam couch but still chooses to sleep at the door nearest to my room. If I accidentally leave a door open he'll come up the stairs and sleep outside my room door. I would let him sleep in my bed but he takes up way too much room and would have me out on the side hanging on for dear life. When he's sick he's allowed sleep on my bed for cuddles til he feels better. He HATES the shower and tries to rescue me from the shower every morning. I think he thinks I'm trapped so he'll bark and hit the glass with his paw. When the door opens he's satisfied and walks off before the nasty shower will suck him in too. He sits on my knee in the vets because he's scared and he's so huge all you can see are my legs sticking out.

Baby boy is a little brat. He's so naughty and hyper and needy but he loves his mammy. He'll get into your arms like he did when he was a small puppy even though he's so much bigger, he'll cosy into you and be happy enough like that. If I'm sad or crying he'll climb up on my chest, lay down on top of me, splat across my chest and lay his head on my shoulder. He's very much the boss - he has the have the best bed, the attention, the ball, the first treat. He wrecks the older dogs head but the older dog has the patience of a saint. They are adorable together. They adore each other. They cuddle each other. Big dog keeps his paw over the baby. Baby sits on big dog. Baby cuddles into big dog.

We celebrate birthdays with treats, a nice dinner and a birthday cake. We have balloons and new toys. At Xmas time santa comes and is always very generous. I love them so much they're so special to me.

I have a 3 year old lab x - she is timid, shy, amazing temperment, but can have her crazy zoomies too! HATES cats, can't even spell the word anymore! She is mad for cuddles but when she has enough, she wants her own space and basically glares at you if you get in her space!!
Gets in a huff too if given out to!

I also have a 2 year old Rottweiler - he's silly but extremely smart, funny, an absolute joke of a dog, afraid of his own shadow yet ballsy in other ways! - This morning for instance, in the park, a lines man was setting up the flags for a match, he was all excited to see someone and ran over to say hi,
the lines man said hi and petted him, but had to drop the flags in order to pet him - Cue Ralph, LEGGING it with his tail between his legs! he's an oul eejit!

My best pal ever! I just love him to bits . Was never an animal or dog lover before and only got him for the kids. Have deleted their photos from my phone and replaced them with him :)

    Seamus aka 'Babybear'.

I do the odd transport from the pound to foster homes for a rescue and was supposed to bring this fella from Dublin to Cork a couple of years back with few other dogs in the car. By the time we got to Horse & Jockey on the motorway, he had me. Ended up doing a round trip back to Dublin after dropping the other rescue dogs off. He's a great character, full of love and fun. Loves a good chat (great listener) and spaghetti bolognese. Best thing I ever did was bring him back :)

Second photo is off him with his rescue brother Henry, their debut album cover 'West End Dogs'.

    Speaking of not impressed...
The year we volunteered her for Santa's helper didn't go down well with a certain somebody! :pac:
No way would she look at the camera.
