    I can understand not wanting to go there, its not only about the risks but the atmosphere, for various reasons. A city under constant heavily armed police patrol is not a happy place. It is so sad that it's become necessary.

    Yes, this. Been to Paris loads of times over the years and love the place. Last time I was there was a few months before the November 2015 attacks, I didn't like the atmosphere at all. Maybe it's because I had my daughter with me so I was more alert but it felt threatening and I didn't feel safe and seeing armed soldiers on the streets didn't help one bit. Couldn't wait to get out of there tbh

    No, that's a common misconception on this site but typically they didn't used to. If the FBI are correct then it's significant for other reasons r.e loss of territory etc. Interesting.

    I'd have to agree with you. I was there in July for about the 10th time and have always said I'd never let an attack put me off visiting but the constant queuing and security at tourist sites definitely put me off. It's a changed city sadly.

    Understandable though.

    If you follow the news, which you've shown you don't. Isis have been losing ground for a long time. If you'd follow the news after the tragedy you've have seen the fbi statement, which you didn't.

    I was in Paris in April when there was a shooting on the Champs Elysees. We were at the top of the Arc De Triomphe when it happened.

    Myself and my friend were freaked. Never been in a situation like that, and my friend wanted to get on the next flight home.

    The Parisians were eating/ drinkng/ socialising like nothing happened.

    They refuse to live in fear. They put their faith and trust in their armed forces and rightly so. They are doing a great job on a daily basis.

    Well bit of an exaggeration, things may have changed a lot in places like Paris but its nowhere close to what Belfast was which was basically an active war zone in parts.

    Would the pc brigade finally take their head out of the sand and see islam for what it is what exactly has to happen before they realise the threat we are under, seriously have they all been in comas the last 10 years, islam is a barbaric ideology which has no place in any civilised society.
