Thats really stupid , even if you were there in central paris on the night of that huge attack 2 years ago you still even had a very small(relatively) chance of being injured or killed. That was really the only large scale terrorist attack in europe since the start of all these islamic terrorist attacks. Crazy to never visit an entire city of like 8 million people ever again because of that

I can understand not wanting to go there, its not only about the risks but the atmosphere, for various reasons. A city under constant heavily armed police patrol is not a happy place. It is so sad that it's become necessary.

Yes, this. Been to Paris loads of times over the years and love the place. Last time I was there was a few months before the November 2015 attacks, I didn't like the atmosphere at all. Maybe it's because I had my daughter with me so I was more alert but it felt threatening and I didn't feel safe and seeing armed soldiers on the streets didn't help one bit. Couldn't wait to get out of there tbh

No, that's a common misconception on this site but typically they didn't used to. If the FBI are correct then it's significant for other reasons r.e loss of territory etc. Interesting.
