Hello, the announcer on BBC1 NI last night promised 'exciting new Scandinavian Drama on BBC4 in Black Lace', which sounds like a radical move from their Agadoo performance on TOTP last week. But he might have got confused with Black Lake.

There is not a whole lot new this weekend, there is the extended version of the new Later with Jools and a new one about British Pirate DJs (the 80s Tower Block era rather than the 60s buccaneers). More compliation shows than possibly ever before - TOTP, TOTP2, TOTP Big Hits, ... at the BBC etc etc.

There's a final chance to see Two Tribes live on TOTP in this run and Sky Arts has a night dedicated to The Doors ...

    9pm & 2.30am The Last Pirates: Britain's Rebel DJs (BBC4) New!
Rodney P's career as a rapper would not have been possible without the lifeblood of pirate radio airplay in the 1980s. Shame the Hollywood Bowl gig is a bit pedestrian. There isn't really any great concert footage of them.

I'm surprised they aren't showing a Radio 1 tribute show this weekend, when its their 50th anniversary.

Bit strange to show one dedicated to 80s Pirates instead!

Mothers Talk! Great track from a great Album only got into them when a girl I fancied in my class (who happened to look like Claire Grogan) out of the blue gave a loan of Songs from the big chair and that’s how my love of Tears for Fears began :D
