Thanks very much for the info. I am going to take a look tomorrow on a 5008 Gt-Line to check on that too.

Sorry to come back at you with this AstraMonti. I test drove 3 cars at the weekend, 3008 GT Line, and two 5008 models, 1.6 auto Allure and 1.2 auto Active. No NAV in any car, you hit the button and it says to connect your phone. I then asked, and was told there is NAV, eh but you have to use your phone, but no built in NAV, GT only!

There is and they have ordered for a customer a 1.2 Auto option in GT-Line, they are 100% adamant about this, no embargo, like there was for the 3008. Bit more of a lead time though.

How did the 1.6 auto vs 1.2 auto compare?

”Where’s the revolution? Come on, people you’re letting me down!”

Can you let us know how you get on. I also was told not available on gt-line. However, if you run nav from phone, can this be seen on i-cockpit? Thanks

I drove the 1.6 Auto Diesel first, and impression was very positive, very smooth and fast through the gears, but most of all and I was surprised how quiet and smooth it was in the cabin, you simply wouldn't know you were driving a diesel at all. It seemed to me exceptionally refined compared to my current car, an older iteration of the same engine in the older 5008.
The 1.2 was a joy, tbh, not necessarily quieter or less vibration, that's not a complaint, I just thought the Diesel was exceptionally refined and so was this, but then hit the accelerator and the noise just put a smile on my face, between the pull and that 3 cylinder petrol hum.
In my limited test they seemed very similar, and it was limited, about 2 KM in each car, so not a real test by any stretch. Did the Petrol feel under-powered, absolutely not, on the contrary, there was good acceleration. And for those that fall into a mileage bracket where the Petrol makes more sense, I have no doubt whatsoever it is perfectly sufficient.
I stand by what I said before, I want to see the car in full with a proper test drive before making a final decision. But I have to say, all round this seems like a really good car, solid too and well built (although some of the mouldings do not always meet to exact perfection), and the GT-Line has so much kit, it really is a pretty modern car that looks and feels great. Also, the stitching and cloth/leather interior in both the Allure and especially the GT-Line looks far better in reality than what shows in photos.

Sure I 'll let you know. If you run it from the phone, you can see it on the main screen, but not in the i-cockpit i believe.

Christ, i think that I've had enough!!

called Peugeot dealer today to tell him that i'll call tomorrow with a deposit etc.

    Gone up by e850 !!! (600-engine & 250 auto-box) there goes my extras :(
1.2 auto's not available for a number of months, well into next year. I had enquired on Tues about a Gt-line just out of interest due to the few extras it might have worked out roughly the same & was told definitely not available.

very, very poor carry on.

Is this across the range or just for the 1.2? It's very poor form to increase the price in a car that has barely arrived in the country. Which dealer was this?

We were told about the €600 from the off. The dealer was upfront about it at least.

I haven't been able to get to see the GT-line that there is in bluebell. Maybe you can call them to ask what happens if they press the nav button? :)

    Didn't know they had one.

    Thanks for that.

Popping up for a test drive tomorrow. Will be interesting.

Yeah, I kinda decided to stop adding to the speculation because each dealer was telling me something different which means Im posting inaccuracies also.
Yesterday I received a call from a prominent main-dealer, I asked him to clear up the 1.2 Auto speculation. Whilst on the phone he rang Peugeot HO. I could hear the call, no 1.2 Auto GT-Line for the foreseeable future and potential delays on ALL other 1.2 Auto's. Of course he was an optimist and said this could change in a couple of months, but as we know this is going on for along time on the 3008. Not sure if it still is.

Have been told by most dealers that there is a rise on the cards, each speculated differently from 500 to 850.
This puts an entry level auto in GT-Line over 40K
Yes there is a lot of kit in the car but that's a lot of cash.

Going up tomorrow, talked to a guy called Stephen who confirmed that the GT-Line is sold but he has another pearlescent white coming in 2 weeks.

He also confirmed that GT-LINE does NOT come with a SAT NAV and that its an additional €1100 euro for it.

Regarding the leather seat design which I despise, this is changeable but there is a cost, of which he would have for me tomorrow.

HE confirmed cost of car is going up by €600 and €250 for automatic.

I'll let you know how I get on with the Allure spec.

Lordey me, Im going to speculate again :P

In 3008 GT-Line there is no NAV built in for Irish cars.
In 5008 Allure there is no NAV built in, press the button on both and its says to connect your phone.

    GT has NAV built in.

I rang about that GT-Line and was told it was sold and gone.

Thanks, this is turning in a bit of a joke. Apparently the only thing they agree is the price increase. I 've already put my order two weeks ago, so if they tell me anything about a price increase at this stage, I am going to just cancel it and go for an Outlander.

I seen the GT leather seats in the flesh. Genuinely looked fabulous, really finished the Car.

These are the prices for the seats:

    electric seats - €1,045
    massage electric seats - €1,470
leather massage electric seats - €3,615

    They are a bit mental.

GT or GT-Line. I won't be going for the GT model as I feel it's a bit too pricey.

Moral of the story. If you want the above, nearly better off just plumping for the GT.

The above is really hard to justify!

BTW, where did you get those prices from?

I called into Bluebell last Saturday to see the GT-Line and was told the boss took it home for the weekend and it should be back on Monday. I called in on Monday and was told the car had gone back to Peugeot Headquarters on the Naas Road. I was told it was a press car and was only with them to get cleaned after being displayed at the ploughing championships.

I spoke to David [very helpful] and he gave me a printout of all the available options and prices. I'm looking for a 1.2 GT-line auto [with a few extras] and have been told if I order within the next 2 weeks I'd be lucky to see it by February 2018.

Also, if anyone is financing, the 4.9% apr hire purchase rate is only available if you put in a 30% deposit, anything lower and the rate goes up to 6.9%.

The dealer emailed me those after I asked how much for the electric seats. And after seeing them I prefer to use my hand.

There are 3 pages, I've scanned them in and attached, hopefully you can open them.
Excuse the options highlighted, they're the options I'm interested in :)

Thanks a lot for that. I have been asking for something like this for a few weeks now! Now, I am even more pissed, because apparently the adaptive cruise control is extra and I was never told.. again

Yeah it's annoying alright, one dealer told me the electric tailgate and alarm was included in the GT-Line, clearly not.

I've also been told to adaptive cruise control cannot be ordered with the 1.2 AUTO for some reason

That's true, I was reading the same elsewhere. It's not available in the 1.2 auto (or manual) for the 3008 or 5008.

Sorry mate missed this. I seen them on a 3008 GT. These are the same as what you'd get if ordering for GT-Line or you bought a GT 5008.

The Gt-Line doesn't get full leather, it's the half-and-half things. Like these:
