Wonder did they read the small print on the contract.

no reading of small print required. the bride knew she was booking for a minimum of 130.

is 130 really a "small enough wedding"??
    I wasn't being fascieous but usually there's 8 to 10 seated at a table.
Take away 3 to 4 tables out of a crowd of 130 and the room looks a lot smaller.

Peeing off the hotel management where you are GOING to hold an event in the future is not too bright.
And trying blackmail by using a consumer whinging show on the national airwaves is definitely guaranteed to rub anyone up the wrong way.

No doubt the hotel management and staff will act professionally on the day, but I can't see them going out of their way to accommodate the weapon and any extra requests.

I am not allowed discuss …

I'd imagine the lads on the team won't see it as a flippant reason.

They might take the view that they won;t miss the match for a flippant reason like a wedding !

GAA sports are for knuckle-draggers, therefore it's a flippant reason.

With that superiority complex of yours you should be quiet at home as a guest of yer wan.

Must be quite a view from that high horse you're sat on.

    Is today the big day??

I just like to wish everyone the best on such a special day.

Hopefully the day goes smoothly without any further distractions as the memories from a day like today will last a lifetime.

I hope they remain relaxed and calm and the important thing to remember, above all else, is to enjoy the day.
Remember that this is their special union that will hopeful blossom and flourish until they bring the cup home on st. Patrick's day

    Best of luck lads.

Why don't she just ask some of her evening guest, to the dinner. Problem solved!

But to the poster who thinks getting to a semi final is a mickey mouse thing-youve obviously never had the honour to wear your club colours at that level. The team train rain and shine most of the year round for that glory.

And GAA heads wonder why they are looked at as a cult of weirdos...

To be fair your derogatory comment could stretch to supporters of any sport or thing. E.g. Apple fan boys/girls.

Well Cavan Gaels won the match. Was it them or Kingscourt the guests were playing for?

I predict she will be back on Loiveline shortly thanking and praising the hotel. I'm guessing they did something for her on the day.

Imagine ringing, say, SKY and asking for a discount for the month of August because you were away on 2 weeks holidays so you didn't use their services.

Contract was in place and I do think if she had called to the hotel straight away and had a chat the hotel would have been accommodating .

I worked for sky three years ago. I can confirm I received calls to this effect before. People will chance their arms for anything.

    Any update on this?

    Was the groom a no-show?

Did the hotel cut the power early?

I worked on the phones for Sky a few years ago (well Abtran to be precise). You'd be surprised.
