Peeing off the hotel management where you are GOING to hold an event in the future is not too bright.
And trying blackmail by using a consumer whinging show on the national airwaves is definitely guaranteed to rub anyone up the wrong way.

No doubt the hotel management and staff will act professionally on the day, but I can't see them going out of their way to accommodate the weapon and any extra requests.

I just like to wish everyone the best on such a special day.

Hopefully the day goes smoothly without any further distractions as the memories from a day like today will last a lifetime.

I hope they remain relaxed and calm and the important thing to remember, above all else, is to enjoy the day.

I worked for sky three years ago. I can confirm I received calls to this effect before. People will chance their arms for anything.

I worked on the phones for Sky a few years ago (well Abtran to be precise). You'd be surprised.
