I got to here and now I just couldn't give a crap what else you've written.

This has fuck all to do with "the left".

The thing about it is that is spot on, Dr. Kelly wholly shafted GH openly, and on RTE last Saturday and its all about the left.

I hope Dil isn't on today for her part in it.

    Bullshit.

There are people from many persuasions, left, middle and right that are calling Hook out on his idiotic comments.

It childish and stupid to keep trying to reduce it down to a "left" issue. 99% of women alone, regardless of the their political preference, would have issue with what Hook said.

People who are continually trying to make this a "left" issue are doing so because of their limited political capital.

True the left make up the majority of the continually outraged folks but are not all of them.

They were just the more vocal and tried to imply a much bigger rape apologist conspiracy was going on.

I was ignoring the whole thing and figured hook had finally been taken up on his rubbish spouting self indulgent mouthing off, so was happy to let him hang. Then in work yesterday someone played the actually comments.

Talk about a storm in a teacup. I cant stand hook, but people are over the top on this big time. Luckily you cant get pitch forks handy i all i will say.

People confuse the Left with liberals here. There are plenty of liberals that are economically right wing - about half of Fine Gael!

This result makes no sense at all... If they are not firing him, then why is he not getting his old show back? This has more a feel of pandering to the left completely while at the same time giving George Hook some small slot in the schedule so that they can still maintain this facade that they facilitate both left and right ideologies. The truth of it is that they are almost at the point of being just liberal propaganda. Almost any time I have switched on this week, I have found them speaking about some justice issue, whether that be Ibrahim Halawa, sneering at Donald Trump, or some perceived injustice to one of the minority lobby groups. Given any topic, you can immediately predict what position the presenter will hold any subject.

People like you are the reason these lobby groups exist! Lol

I'd like to hear George's side of the story in relation to who backed him and who stuck the knife in. Certainly Pat Kenny backed him to the hilt, absolute legend.. Apart from Pat nobody comes out of this looking well.
In my opinion the jury is still out on Ciara, like I said I still don't think she done an awful lot wrong, I'd give George the deciding vote on that, alas I suspect we'll never know .
I think Dill might be out the door before George, it may take a bit of clever management, as they can't just sack her, but she was way out of line.

We don't even know if Kelly was named as a replacement by Hook himself, once he knew where this was going.

Moderator: And on that bombshell... it's the end of the show.
