20% discount is a nice touch.

Anything that's worth getting with the 20% off?

There's nothing I'm in the market for but 20% off some of their high end stuff would be nice.

Is it good deal after 20% discount?:eek:

Haha, seriously though seems like a shame to let the discount go to waste. But wish they had just got more of the original from the OP.

    Did anyone get one?

    Expect more. Spend less.

Think they got the wording slightly mixed up there.

Cancelled and still waiting for money to return. No one is picking up the Irish sales number -rings once or twice and is then disconnected.

Currently $1399/€1175 on amazon.com. I wonder could I persuade my missus to bring one back on her business trip next month :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,193 ✭✭✭September1

I have got PayPal email that says they have returned payment. I did not contact Lenovo to ask for it, so they seem to be slowly processing those orders.

Could lenovo not just source it for us from them on our behalf. I thought the problem was that they had run out of stock. Clearly they have not then.

It's the same as every sale. They had X number of units at this price. I don't think you understand how many orders would have been placed on hukd with this.

Are there any stats on the kind of numbers generated by an item appearing on HUKD? It must be a nightmare for a company when there's a misprice/great bargain with limited stock and it's pounced on by everyone.

960M is about the same as a GTX750Ti or thereabouts. Wouldn't be a great gaming machine but it would still play most new games at 1080p low-ish settings. Biggest problem there is that if it breaks you effectively have no warranty as it's refurbished, so I doubt it would be covered by MSI international.

You'd be better off just buying a laptop. You can get a brand new MSI Gaming laptop with a GTX960M and i5-7300HQ for about €680 delivered at the moment from Save on Laptops.

Tempted myself all the same. Have my heart set on a 27" all in one (just not a fan of laptops) and this ticks a lot of boxes. Are you being a little harsh on the 960m or would it really struggle in anything more than lowish settings at 1080p? I'm a bit of a novice so thoughts appreciated!. Seems a bargain despite the risk being international refurbished but maybe I'm being too eager!

It's the same as a desktop GTX750Ti which is a low-end card from last generation and would sell for about €60 2nd hand. The very latest games like Ghost Recon, Battlefield 1 etc will run at 1080p low settings at 60fps or so which is very good considering what it is.

Obviously stuff like FIFA, less demanding games like Titanfall or some of the Call of Dutys, or Overwatch, will run better. And it also boils down to what you're happy with. I personally wouldn't be able to play an FPS game at 30fps but some people can, and it means you can up the visual quality.

But on the whole, as a gaming machine in 2017 it is low-end and it's not up gradable either obviously. All-in-ones are generally very bad investments as gaming machines unless you cough up a significant amount and opt for a decent gaming orientated one (or one that has switchable parts, like the Lenovo in the OP).

You would build a desktop 2nd hand with the same performance for about €200 - or significantly better for about €300.

How did you get a voucher? Is it a 20% code when you email them?
That's bull**** about not being able to use it off other offers...they said off your next purchase no conditions mentioned!😡

Yeah, looks like an individual code. Have to email emeatele@lenovo.com with your order number. Here's my wording if you just want to reuse that:

(Subject: Requesting my 20% discount code)
    Hi,

I recently had my order for a ideacentre Y910 cancelled due to a lack of stock, and was offered a 20% discount off another purchase as compensation.

To get this discount, I was told to contact this e-mail address with my order number

    Order No: ***********

I'm looking to purchase the Y720 (80VR000FUK) currently on offer. Can the 20% voucher be applied to already discounted items?

    Thanks,
    Tim

    And their reply
    Hello Timmy
