Phenomenal deal for that machine, great spot.

Thanks OP. Been waiting for a deal on a large AIO!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,204 ✭✭✭moonboy52

HUKD are saying some orders are getting cancelled, but you never know.

Great deal, but as a gaming machine, lack of adequate cooling would concern me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,916 ✭✭✭podgeandrodge

Crap. Looks dodge alright reading that on hukd will just hope!

Was only just about to buy parts to build a new pc, this is *VERY* tempting.

144hz QHD 2560 x 1440 display? No gsync but hell, that would still cost at least 400. As OP says, another 400 for the graphics card. great bargain!

That is incredible spec for that price. What a deal. Definitely wasn't expecting anything that good when I clicked on this thread!

Pity about the fancy keyboard. Still awesome though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,916 ✭✭✭podgeandrodge

If we get it. Lots of confusion seemingly about stock at Lenovo.

    Disappointing it's only an i5..

The lenovos are great quality. I have a Lenovo AIO too. i5, 16GB RAM and 480GB SSD. Boots up in less than 10 seconds. Paid 850e 18 months ago.

That's a great deal. Great find

The reviews above talk about a GTX 1080 card, but the one to order is a 1070?

I agree it was a rip off at 2100. The only plus is the graphics card, so anyone buying it at the reduced price could do better to get a cheap i7 and upgrade the graphics (if required)

The i5 isn't a problem, especially at higher resolutions the bottleneck is generally shifted to the GPU. There is nothing this PC wouldn't run at 1440p ultra pretty effortlessly.
The reviews above talk about a GTX 1080 card, but the one to order is a 1070?

It comes with different models - RX460, GTX1070, GTX1080 - only the 1070 is left listed.

In fairness it's a top end AIO. Comparing it to a normal desktop is like comparing apples and oranges, really. At €1,100 it's an insane bargain - at €2,200 I wouldn't have called it a rip-off though for what it is.

All the latest games at 1440p ultra settings on what essentially occupies little more than just monitor space.

Ok, my boss said I could get a new PC for my office, I'm definitely going to run this past him. Serious deal and piece of kit

Beware the appalling after support from lenovo. We bought a low end model in the 'IdeaCentre' range about two years ago. Its been back twice with motherboard fault. Each time it failed after about 10months and no longer boots. This time Lenovo are refusing to repair it. On top of that the casing has been cracked while in their care. Disputing it at the moment, but certainly wouldn't touch lenovo again. Not that any of the brands are much better. But this is by far the worst experience I've had.

I ordered this and will instead not buy the XBox One X.

I'd be disappointed if I don't see at least one on Adverts, for a lot nearer to the original asking price than 1100. There's always one cheeky scamp.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I have just built a new Desktop PC but I managed to order All In One from Lenovo today. I didn't get any cancellation email yet, I suppose I have to wait until Monday... One of those computers will end up on Adverts next week, once I have them up and running. Not interested to make any profit. I will let you know if Lenovo is available for sale.

it is/was a legitimate offer, not a misprice.

if you got an order in, and there is/was stock to fulfill it, you should get it...

I have a yoga 510. Cracked my screen and it was covered under their insurance. They or maybe me used a longer screw at some point that went through the top of the case. I got in touch, sent it back and got a new piece of casing, no issue.
It probably happened when I upgraded my HDD and ram after buying it but they took the blame.

My laptop battery developed a fault. I called them and had a technician come to me at work 36 hours later and replace the battery. They apologised for the delay.

Great deal in the OP for anyone that got in.

Went to order yesterday but got through the whole process and got hit with an out of stock notification before I got to add my card. If anyone has buyers remorse I’d love to get it from you

If anyone doesn't want let me know

    Will take

Got confirmation order. Seems like good deal. Thanks op. Worried about its cooling for gaming tho.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

I would not worry about cooling. GTX1070 and Skylake i5 are not hot running, and these days there are laptops that have desktop CPU's as well as GTX1070's without any major issues.

It'll obviously run hotter than a normal desktop would, but there's no real need to worry about cooling. Doesn't take much to cool the i5-6400 and the GTX1070 will likely be a blower exhaust model.

    Hi all
Is this all in one computer overkill for a home computer

Depends what you're doing. It will handle the majority of people's needs, plus gaming with the decent dedicated card. It will also be extremely fast at multitasking and everyday tasks with the SSD, huge ram and i5 processor. Once you use it, you won't want anything less in future. I'd recommend it for home and family use.

I have an old dell so was thinking of changing
An all in one would be great.
I just thought it might be a bit of a waste for home use

If you're not going to be gaming, this could be an option for home use.

I'd recommend upgrading to an SSD and adding 4GB of RAM. Would cost an additional 120e, but would be extremely fast for your needs.

I had ordered the Lenovo and and I suppose that I was getting a small bit of buyers remorse.
Seems to be some takers on thread to pass it onto..
Is the Lenovo worth 3-400 more?
That's the question I am now asking myself.
    The perils of BA

It is overkill for PC for watching movies, browsing or office work - mostly because it contains expensive graphic card dedicated to gaming. It also uses LCD panel that is not optimal for this kind of use, as it does not work too well for not frontal angles and color reproduction might be not perfect.

However this PC was a great bargain and you might not be able to get a similar bargain when buying a simpler machine. Maybe consider doing some kind of swap.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

It is total overkill for a casual desktop machine as it has a very high end graphics card which offers no benefit to non-gaming/specific editing tasks though you could sell the GTX1070 for €400 and replace it with a basic €30 card.

    Anyone here lucky yet?

I have not got shipping confirmation yet. All I have at this point is the initial Order Submission. Can't find anywhere on the website to track the current status either with the order number.

Very annoying. I think that the Irish shippers are different than the UK crew and we may be victims of that.
