    Foiled the last week by alcohol ingestion and resultant apathy. I did get one hell of run in on Friday night after encountering 4 young rapscallions on my way home. Got hit with one blow by one of the fellows along with one of my own. Then pegged it out of there at about 88mph. Felt the burn afterwards.

    Last two Fridays have been in Flyefit Drumcondra that opened recently. It's the best of the ones I have been in. Even has two proper platforms with Eleiko bumpers. They don't have legit mens weightlifting bars so using a womens bar which they have a load of. The thicker bars don't feel nice for WL.

    Slept in as far as gym going goes after being out a a gig. Had 20-25 minutes for this. Wouldn't have hacked a full session anyway after a few drinks.

    They got a few thinner mens bars in drumcondra flyefit since I was in there last

    Just had a quick look at your log. If you don't mind me asking, how come you're lifting lighter than you were at the start?

    I train out in the one in Swords the odd time. Similar setup with the two Eleiko training sets. I think they lock the Eleiko bars away sometimes so it may just be a case of asking one of the staff to break them out.

    A couple of reasons but the main one is I stopped training seriously & consistently in 2014 after my weightlifting club closed down. Since then I've just been training casually with no competitions to drive me.

    Also comparing to the first entry I went from low bar squat and powerlifting style deadlift to high bar and clean style so my weights dropped way down for a while. I was also doing GOMAD and all that jazz a few months before I started logging here and that's where the squat/dead PBs came from. So it took awhile to catch back up there too eating normally.

    Things should pick up a bit from now though with Drumcondra flyefit opening up as it makes a lot easier for me to hit x4 week as my GF lives out there.

    Since that first post a few better 20kg bars have appeared. It was nice lifting with women bar though. Looks like more weight on the bar and with extra whip you can lift a wee bit more :pac:

    Choose sleep today (Monday) instead of training after night out Sat + match yesterday. I had planned a mini deload from end of this week so will just treat the few days off as it and get going again tomorrow with slight reduction in weight. Plan is to go for 1-3RMs end of October then try some variation of 531 after getting delivery of 531 Forever last week. Haven't had a chance to start reading it yet.

    I was back home so ring dips. RTO is tough when you don't do them regularly. I was going to do ab wheel as well but forgot.

    I tweaked my shoulder a few months ago so that's why I haven't been doing hanging leg raises. I was being lazy and was hoping it would fix itself but no luck. Should be fine once I pull my finger out and do some work on shoulder mobility.
