Shonda Rhimes is going to Netflix, so what does it mean for her ABC shows now

I wouldn't think it'll mean anything, ABC will probably still get first run rights to it and then it'll be thrown up on Netflix. My sister in law will be delighted to be able to binge on Grey's Anatomy on it, by gawd she loves that program.

I assume this if for any new shows she making. I doubt any of her current or old shows will be moving to Netflix from now on. Since she doesn't own the shows.

The three main ABC shows will go on Netflix in places around the world where there is no exciting deal in place for them to air.

Take Longmire as an example it is a Netflix show yet can't be shown here on Netflix because of the deal in place with TCM to air it.

    Stranger Things season 3 confirmed.
The brothers have confirmed that the series will get a third season and possibly a fourth to end the series on. That’s a nice even number and since season 2 will lay the groundwork for the show’s ending it means a third season of a brand new story before wrapping up the show. Where the series will go in the future remains a mystery, but the Duffer brothers have a few ideas.

Last Chance U’ Renewed For Third Season At Netflix
In the new season, the series will move from the south to Kansas to explore the junior college football program at Independence Community College. The Independence Pirates are coming off their first winning season in ten years under first year Head Coach Jason Brown.

Inspired by a GQ article, Last Chance U follows a group of young EMCC players who aspire to be recruited by a Division I college or NFL team.

“While we now have the opportunity to head to Kansas, we hope to revisit the people we’ve grown to love over the past two seasons of Last Chance U,” noted director Greg Whiteley. “We are forever grateful to the talented team at East Mississippi Community College who dedicated months of their lives in Scooba and trusted us to tell their incredible stories.”

    Carnival Row

Amazon Greenlights Carnival Row Fantasy Series From Teen Wolf EP
The streaming service has given an eight-episode series order to Carnival Row, a “neo-Victorian fantasy” set in a world where humans and mythical creatures co-exist, TVLine has learned. The hour-long drama series will follow the investigation into a series of unsolved murders in a neo-Victorian city that’s already boiling over with tensions between man and creature. Carnival Row — which, at one time, had the ever-busy Guillermo del Toro attached — will begin filming in the fall of 2018, for a planned 2019 release.

Orlando Bloom To Star In ‘Carnival Row’ Fantasy Drama Series For Amazon
In his first major TV role, Orlando Bloom has been tapped to topline Amazon’s eight-episode straight-to-series fantasy drama Carnival Row. The Lord Of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star also will serve as a producer of the series, from Rene Echevarria, Travis Beacham, Paul McGuigan and Legendary Television.

Carnival Row is described as a fantasy-noir set in a neo-Victorian city. Mythical creatures fleeing their war-torn homeland have gathered in the city, and tensions are simmering between citizens and the growing immigrant population.

The series follows the investigation of a string of unsolved murders that are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists. Bloom will play the man in the center of it, Rycroft Philostrate, a police inspector investigating the murder of a faerie showgirl on Carnival Row. Rycroft is not supposed to care about the death of another faerish refugee, but he does, and getting to the bottom of what happened to her will come at a big cost.

    Dark Matter cancelled. Variety.
Boo! I've just watched the fourth episode of the third season and it shows the sort of fun the show can be. It's a shame as they seem to have ideas for multiple seasons. It's got a good set of characters even if at times the main plot arc can be a little weak.

Granting two seasons should lead to a nice wrap up for us. I'm guessing they got two seasons at "Dark Matter"'s expense.

CBS is developing a TV adaptation of L.A Confidential.
Based on James Ellroy’s classic novel of the same name, the series would follow the paths of three homicide detectives, a female reporter, and a Hollywood actress as they intersect while the detectives pursue a sadistic serial killer through the seedy underbelly of 1950’s Los Angeles.

New Regency, Lionsgate Television and CBS Television Studios will produce, with New Regency’s Arnon Milchan serving as executive producer. Jordan Harper is set to write and executive produce.

Is there an annoying cliffhanger or will it be tolerable?

My exact question. I think it was really great schlocky fun from what I've seen so far but I won't bother watching the rest if it just ends totally abruptly. :(

It's an ok ending; obviously leaves open for a season 2 in there but it's closing all relevant story lines from season 1 satisfactory.

Ooh, this could be good. As good as the film was the book is a beast. There were actually two serial killers in it.
