Cliffs of Moher. We're promised 2 hours sunshine sometime between October 14th and 22nd, might be worth a shout.

Two years ago I worked in a place that would hire European students. Some sort of programme that I forget the name of. Anyways average persons age was 18 / 19. One of the first things they did was take the tour at the Guinness factory when they arrived here.

    Not a bad option.

    There's a Guinness factory ?

Is it near the Guinness brewery ?

    Brooklyn born

I'd imagine a 22yr old amurican won't give a sh about touristy things.

Give her the wifi code and she'll be fine in her room for the two weeks.

While all the Irish 22 year olds sit around discussing Proust. Stupid Americans.

Would bringing her to a farm and milk a cow be a stupid idea.

Only if you're caught and the farmer is trigger happy.

Wait till she sees the selection Netflix has for Ireland, She'll be taking the first flight back.

Bring her up north and teach her about the wonderful tradition of blowing each other to bits.

She's from Brooklyn, and you want to bring her to London? Ugh.

Ferry to the Aran Islands. Maybe incorporate the Cliffs of Moher tour by boat, but I never really got the hype - it's just thousands of tourists walking along a cliff edge much like any other.

    I live in the west

Go to the North West and see Fanad Head Lighthouse. Scenery is spectacular. But that's really about the height of it. Derry and Giants Causeway only an hour or two away.

I wouldn't bring her to London, if she's from New York. Probably better off going somewhere a bit different like Paris or Bruges. Somewhere with a bit of flair.

The Greystones-Bray cliff walk is also a great way to spend a couple of hours, along with Killiney hill

+1 on this, absolutely breathtaking. Shame about the wasteland-y bit on the approach to Greystones though.

If shes coming from a city environment London probably not a great option. Cliffs of Moher, spend the night in Doolin and take in a trad session. A few days in laid back Dublin (compared to NYC) , some shopping, sights and sample some of the great nightlife and array of cuisines available.

Loads to do whatever her interests are!

there is nowhere like the top of Slieve League, anyone coming to Ireland with a day to spare should make a point of going up.

The Butlers chocolate factory tour gets good reviews.

Just make sure to have a 1:1 tourist activity to pub time ratio.
