Thankfully they have kept the football on Saturdays despite all their changes!

Has there been a full week all summer of day time shows that Muireann hasn't being filling in for the other presenters (outside of her weekend slot)?
    Like I'm just waiting for D&D and Al to be off - 9am to 2.30pm - Muireann O'Connell :P
They really should put her on the posters

Yea.. I agree. Even Ian Dempsey made a comment a few weeks ago about her. She's ok but she's a bit much- a tad excitable!!!

Where would Dara Quilty go? 9-12 or 12-2:30?

12 - 2.30 if they had any sense.

I don't think Dara Quilty is a good fit for Today FM tbh, although he is undoubtedly talented. I'd prefer to see Muireann in Al's slot.

I am actually warming to Fergal Darcy. I never thought I would but he's like an excited child and after listening to him for a few weeks now, I'm starting to find him endearing. The content is brain floss, but that's what they're going for. It's the same all day long now, from Early Breakfast, right the way through until TLW. TLW is now TLW Lite as well, so they're clearly after the Spin generation.

    This x1000.

They should just do this now and have Al fill in for her as Al is practically off every second week anyway.

The only show I look forward to these days is 'Songs of Praise' on Sunday evenings. Every other show seems to require listeners to dial down any brain activity to listen in.:(

Ed and Paul McLoone are the only reasons to listen to today fm - rest are just dumbing down their content

Muireann was talking about Newstalk having no women presenters mon-fri 7am-7pm.......you could just see it in her face that she wanted to say Today fm is exactly the same! She is a little pissed off about it i think!

I think they should put Louise Duffy back on daytimes.

Lol, yeah if they want their ratings to tank again like they did the last time

    It wasn't her fault.

    It wasn't her fault.

of course it wasn't  poor playlist (tbf selection has improved since she's been shifted to evenings ) , poor content and awful attempts at "banter" or "interplay with the news team or others on the show...least she not as bad as Paula "I have a fella don't you know" McSweeny or Allison "I have a child/Twitter account/53102" Curtis

I see muireann is the new permanent co host on the six o clock show on tv3 and to a man and women on twitter were glowing in their praise. Yet todayfm can't see that she would be perfect on their prime time schedule ? Is it any wonder todayfm a once excellent station is going down the ****ter ?

Unfair. Dermot and Dave finished with less listeners on that slot than Louise did.

    And they are great!

In fact they were promoted from that slot with fewer listeners than her.

Still better than their current lineup.

    Today FM new daytime schedule.

With Alison Curtis filling in whenever Muireann is on holidays.

    A man can dream.

I thought of AM Kelly earlier. She was always great to listen to before Ian, and she filled in here and there a good bit. I don't get Midlands up here, but I do miss her on Today FM. She was certainly popular with listeners. If she had stayed on, I wonder if she would have been moved, or stayed in the 5-7 slot.

Shauna & Eoghan were always great to hear on a Friday night. Great banter between them, and it's a shame that they didn't get another show somewhere else on the schedule. Maybe somewhere on the weekday one. But, would it make sense having two duo teams one after the other?

AM? Is she Tim Kelly's wife?

    of course she is!
as Kelly is not a very common surname in ireland
