You might be hit with custom charges

Nope. I have used them many times, most EU phones are shipped from Germany. just make sure 'EU shipping' is there at checkout.

"EU Expedited Shipping (8 - 12 days Europe)
We can ship phones by Europe Expedited shipping: this special expedited shipping with tracking number, the shipping option is depending on your location, we recommend this shipping option for Europe buyers, it's a smooth shipping process."

Plus might come loaded with HyrdrogenOS, rather than OxygenOS, although flashing it with the latter is probably no biggie.

Nope, no need. is the same as from OnePlus even OTA updates

"- Global 4G LTE bands supported, 34 network bands
    - Oxygen OS base on Android Nougat, OTA updating supported"

Also, I'd prefer to be dealing with OnePlus rather than Oppomart for returns or warranty claims.

Yep, I'd agree there, Oneplus wont want to know if you have any problems with it, but you could just send it back to oppomart for warranty repair, I have also done this in the past and had no problems getting a replacement

Cannot make calls in my car when connected, but receive calls no problem. It syncs up no problem, all contacts , messages etc. Anyone else? Phone standard on latest update.

Does anyone else's phone vibrate randomly?

Likely to be a setting on your car's Bluetooth setup.

Connect the device to the Bluetooth. Open settings Bluetooth and select the cog beside the car device and make sure all permissions are enabled with a tick

Is anyone experiencing any difficulty with notifications? I'm new to Android coming from many years with iPhones. Loving the OnePlus 5 so far except for the fact that I'm not receiving my Gmail notifications unless I manually refresh from within the app. Same issue with Facebook & Twitter but I'm not bothered about those. Thankfully WhatsApp is grand.
I've Gmail sync turned on, all notifications on, battery not optimized for Gmail etc. but no joy.
    Any ideas appreciated

Do you have allow notifications set for Gmail in the Apps section of your phone settings as well as the notifications setting set for your email address in Gmail's own settings?

settings ->accounts -> Google -> make sure sync is on for Gmail. If it's on turn it off and back on again

    Yep, both set.

Sync definitely on. Will try the on-off trick though. I'll also try rebooting the phone while I'm at it.

    Thanks for the replies

Phone shops don't sell the OnePlus, why would you expect them to sell screen protectors or accesories for a phone thay don't stock?

I meant phone accessory shops not phone shops

Phone accesory shops only sell gear for phones the network providers offer and phone shops sell, not for uncommon chinese brands

Now that people have had the phone for a few weeks, is there any recommendations out there for tempered glass? Purchased one from amazon here https://www.amazon.co.uk/SLEO-OnePlus-Screen-Protector-Hardness/dp/B0719DG6PF/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1504014458&sr=8-17&keywords=oneplus+5+tempered+glass but it's quite poor, clearly rushed out.

Also have this case https://www.casefanatic.com/oneplus/case-anti-slip-matte-oneplus-5-silicone/ and it's decent enough, fits the phone well and adds that bit of cushion without being too clunky if anyone was looking.

Came from a Samsung S6 that would be dead by now.

Same usage, same use time, same apps and my new oneplus 5 is at 64% battery right now.

Sorry I didn't buy this phone ages ago.

Is this the high end phone to get if you don't want the bloat some manufacturers add on top of Android?

Anyone else using bluetooth earphones with OP5? I've Jaybird X3s and audio stutter starts as soon as I put the phone in my left pocket. It isn't as bad when I put it in my right. The receiver on the earphones is on the right hand side, so that makes a bit of sense.

I've tested the earphones with other phones and they work without issue, so it's not them. The bluetooth signal strength just seems to be pants on OnePlus phones in general, as I had issues with the OP2 connecting to the car's bluetooth before this.

I was grand until I updated to 4.5.10. Now I'm getting no sound through my Plantronics Backbeat Pros.

My Jaybirds connect perfectly and they don't disconnect until I get quite a distance away.
