Yeah but can it do it without root?

    Honestly, not sure!

Try searching the play store for Dual SIM Switch Widget.
It has a red and purple sim cards as the app logo.
The screenshots seem to indicate a scheduler :)

It says it only works on phones with Mediatek chipsets, the Oneplus has a Snapdragon

Damn it, I had spotted others that only work with MTK chips also.

There doesn't really appear to be a solution for what you wanna do.
That is unless Tasker doesn't work, but I'm not willing to spend 2.99 to find out for you :pac:

Thinking of pulling the trigger later and buying it, still not sure if I will get the 6 or 8 GB one, also I see on a site (geekbuying was the site I think) and its a lot cheaper than the main site what is the difference/risk?

I believe you do not get warranty off OP if you buy off sites such as gearbest , geekbuying etc. Also you may have hydrogen OS instead of Oxygen OS installed, along with some malware that you are unsure of. Really it's just worth it getting it off the official store

    Hi all,

Bought the 8gb/128gb version of the phone day one and have to say I love it. Zero issues so far, battery is amazing, speed is amazing and dash charge is a life saver.

Only slight issue is the notifications I get with a missed call. for every missed call I get a notification from the stock dialer app (which is fine as it allows me to quickly dial the person back) but I also get a notification from the SMS app I use, Textra.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with Textra (I can't see a setting to turn it off) or does the same thing happen if you only use the stock SMS app and if so is there a way to turn it off so I only receive one notification per missed call?

If what you mean is that you get an SMS informing you of a missed call, I always thought that was a network thing, tbh.

Looks like it, here's how to turn it off with Vodafone, for instance - https://community.vodafone.ie/t5/Android-Devices/Text-Messages-after-missed-calls/td-p/75270

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. It never crossed my mind it might be a network setting and I was receiving an actual SMS. I thought it was just a notification from the app.

Thanks Corwill. It was indeed a network setting. Your link did the trick. The process has changed slightly but in essence you still go into voicemail, choose mailbox preferences and follow the prompted instructions to disable the InTouch service which is the one that sends you a text each time you miss a call.

For those who have it now and had it for a few weeks to a month, is it worth getting, my OPO is starting to go the road so considering this or wondering should I try and keep going til Pixel 2.

I upgraded from a Oneplus one to a five. It's a decent upgrade, faster, better battery, more space, better camera, dash charge. I'm well happy

The 6GB, there is little advantage in having 8GB Ram when you'll never use it. I mostly use cloud services so don't need extra space, 64GB is fine

For the price, I can't think of a better deal in flagship/flagship-ish terms available right now. Maybe a LG G6, they can be had for about €370 ex tax from eglobalcentral.

Weren't the Pixels really tricky to pick up here?

Bought this cover on a whim, for the price, I thought 'feck it, I've wasted <€4 on worse': https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32818676962.html?spm=a2g0n.orderList.0.0.5fb853ebqfyDoE#autostay

I have to say, it's actually pretty nice, considering. Snug fit, accurate port cut outs, decent lip for when you flip the phone face down, decently grippy.

Edit: just checked credit card statement, it was only €2.94!

Bought one myself with express shipping last night, hoping all is good. I also bought the insurance, has anyone bought that or had any experience with it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,741 ✭✭✭Hococop

A new update had been released. To get it now install Opera VPN from the Play Store, connect, set it to Germany and go to settings and look for an update. I'm downloading it myself now

Not many options, but don't buy an Orzly. I've had 2 break in 2 weeks in my pocket. Might get the official one next, eventhough there are reports of it partially covering the edge of the screen.

Ordered one off amazon, only 6 reviews but all 5 star they say no issue with the edges, I'll see how it is when I get it
