    If you make it more expensive, you're putting a price on democracy. Should neighbours not have a right to object to projects that may destroy their neighbourhood? Should only the rich have that right?

    This thread is about Infrastructure and what you are discussing is criminal justice and social policy. Very different matters to Infrastructure.

    I completely agree with you here. But, alas, it would be too sensible for the relevant organizations to fathom :(.

    In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were organizations with a vested interest in the chaos on the M50, holding it back.
