Can you imagine if Mondo said to her I'd rather Juliet gets a nice Irish lad, specially if your ones son was black

Their would have been a Twitter and press meltdown by now

Do we really have Sunday school here in Ireland?

Do we really have groups such as the one Miriam runs in Ireland?

had to google as to where Armenia was in the word , never had the foggiest and geography was never my strong subject in school. Is there a strong community of Armenians settled in Dublin? only just wondering why the producers particularly chose this for their storyline? - also what happened to her sick mother that was always needing constant attention, is that all forgot about?

The last cult that was mentioned in Fair City was one that Noeleen and Stephen McCoy joined. Kay and Malachy rescued Stephen from it years later.

Whats the big deal about Melanie being Armenian?

Not sure what the issue is. It's an overwhelmingly Christian country for starters.

What is the obsession with Fair City hiring either very tall actresses or very small actors and pairing them? Decco is teeny compared to Kerri Ann and now Juliet leaps on Alan? Who is about three foot tall. Dermot could fit under Jo's arm.

    Not Your Ornery Onager

I have noticed that if a surname ends in -ian, it's a safe bet that it is of Armenian origin. Just saying.

    Not your ornery onager

Thanks Administrator but certain posters should not be allowed insult others, act as if they own the thread. The Talking Bread has put slur on my integrity and i'm not happy with this.

why wasnt greasy at cardles side when cahil came in and started asking her when the funeral was? - normally when cahil comes in greasy jumps straight up and squares to him, but that time greasy was sitting down at the table with wheely and just letting cahil talk to cardle ....

'That post was a post too far'.

Are you a self appointed mod now? You're a wannabe in every way. You're not a mod. You try so hard but not funny like Sephiroth Dude, Coolhull etc. I would not say i endure you. I'm indifferent to you as you don't even effect me as much as a boil on the ar*e. You just attempt to bully people and think you are Mr. Fair City thread.

Also to the real mods there were lots of racist undertones in Fair City last night. I think racism is relevant to discuss?

Curiosity took me to checking out Armenian culture. Actually they are tight knit and tend to stay amongst themselves. Quite old fashioned in that you must impress the parents before courting can commence and the parents often try to find an Armenian partner for their children. Its actually a cultural thing so fair play Fair City.

I mentioned them being Christians last night - they are members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which seems quite conservative. I assume this is being accurately reflected with Melanie not keen on Alex being with a non Armenian girl.

They are an interesting mix of cultures. Technically they are a European country but they are very close to both the Middle East and Asia. I think their culture would reflect this, it would have just as many Middle Eastern and Asian influences.

Their Eurovision entry this year was interesting, you can hear strong Arabic influences in the song :
