Few months old now, but can't get enough of The Afghan Whigs album.
They were great in Dublin last night.

So disappointed with Kasabian's album personally, far too much 'lad rock' on it and not enough electronic type Kasabian, which they have always been far better at imo. 'Comeback Kid' is plain awful, Tom's crooning type songs were old albums ago and there's far too much filler on on this. It's like an album full of the poorer parts of their last two albums. I miss the 'menacing' songs like 'Take Aim' etc. I say all this as a big Kasabian fan as well, but it seems they are headed into Muse 'only good live' territory, rather than actual releases.

Rather it to their last effort 48:13 if being totally honest. I find it to be their funnest album yet and a easy listen. Ill ray(the king), Bless this acid house, good fight, 16 blocks and are you looking for action are good songs. I also like put your life on it as a closing track.

Was worried after hearing the first single "your in love with a psycho" but was pleasantly surprised when i heard the album. Also i read an interview with Serge and he explained that he wanted to go back to a more guitar heavy sound so that probably explains the lack of electronic and synths.

    New Alt-J out today.

Complete garbage imo, but I'm seeing people raving about it on twitter.

^ Yep, hate to saw it as I'm a fan but it's a complete shambles.

First two songs are solid but continues to decline from their horrific cover of 'House Of The Rising Sun' onwards.

Has probably tipped me over the edge to give them a miss this year at Glasto...

Yeah some great tracks... but their most conventional sounding record yet imho.

Public Service Broadcasting - Every Valley

Uses archive footage to tell the story of the decline of the Welsh coal mines. Needs to be listened to start to finish but this is a great song.

Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) has a new solo album out today (To The Bone) .... really great stuff. Some is quite poppy (like the songs below) but there are still some savage electric guitar tracks on there too. I've listened to it twice this morning and I don't think there are any duds.

Was a little disappointed with SHields compared to their previous stuff, but this sounds fantastic!
