lol. how do you see that happening exactly? and are we going to have to endure far right nutjobs instead? i'd take left wing vocal progressives over the far right any day.

I hate both of those dangerous screw-ups.

    Is that an option anymore?

Massive difference and you know that. The nationalist community were indigenous and 40% of the population.

This shower are about 5%, non indigenous and if they don't like, they can go to a safe country like Syria or Iraq. Win-Win.

there is no difference and you know it. if the 5% are irish born then they have no safe country to go to. 5% or 50% internment is nonsense and must not be tolerated. it will not be tolerated.

they are where and when it needs to be done. if the police believe they can arrest them then they will aim for that.

there is no evidence for that unfortunately. they were crossing before the rescue missions began.

and it would then be used as a recruiting tool. you haven't thought this through. this is not a video game, this is real life.

I agree with you on the primary issue of employing torture but just to go off on a small tangent on the 'recruitment tool' thing; just about everything and anything appears to be a recruitment tool for ISIS extremism from somebody being mean to someone on the streets of London to the bombings in the Middle East. If there is one thing that Islamist extremism doesn't appear to be short on in Europe or elsewhere it's recruits. The UK has a Muslim population of about 2.7 million and 23,000 are thought by the police to be in need of surveillance - Ireland has a population of nearly twice that and our military wouldn't be half as big. A piece in the Guardian a few years back noted there were about as a many British Muslims fighting for ISIS than serving in the British Army. If this is where the military spirit of a community is going we should all be very worried.

nope, not do gooders at all as there is no such thing. just people who want the facts before they have an opinion, aka sensible rational people.

And how is that working out; being rational, understanding and accepting?

If that second attack happened in Ireland we'd be ****ed. Lets use Bray as Cambrils for example.. Van mounts pavement and hits a Garda car before flipping. Fellas get out with axes and 'suicide vests'. What can the Gardai there do to stop them? Pepper spray?? Batons? By the time an armed unit from Dublin or an Army Ranger unit got to Bray there'd be over a hundred killed.

BBC reporting that several people have been stabbed in the Finnish city of Turku and that police have shot someone.

I wouldn't have thought Finland would be high on the list of IS attackers so it could be mental illness or something domestic at play here.

Bray is pretty rough, if this was a summer Sunday afternoon you can be sure the locals travelling out to Bray for the weekend wouldnt be standing by while a few of these scum went about their business.

Baffles me that europe are still so soft and weak. By now there should be a closed border policy on all countries with isis links.

Also time to put boots on the ground in syria and other isis controlled areas. A european coalition force should be made. Cut the head of the snake off

According to western values we have to live with terrorism,be tolerant, even if it happens every week and from from same religion, and with same cause,we have to just accept it,blame right wings next day and how dangerous they are,and protect muslims from them, and then pretend it didnt happen.
Dont go for the source of the problem, islam,no,thats racists and islamophobic, some could be offended, and guess who that is.
What a crazy society we live in.

Another mistruth on this thread normally stated by people not from Bray or judge Bray on its visitors who come out on the Dart at the weekend.

Another attack in Finland now. Jesus we had some Einstein on here this morning claiming these attacks for becoming less frequent. Time to introduce internment IMO.

Ok, and who do you intern?
How would internment have stopped the Manchester attack that was done by a British person?

Theresa May rejects appeal from 9/11 survivors to release suppressed Saudi Arabia terror report. The UK government is protecting terrorists.

Theresa May has rejected an appeal from survivors of the 9/11 attacks to make public a suppressed report into the role of Saudi Arabia in funding Islamist extremism in the UK.

Earlier this summer, the British government announced it had decided not to publish the information, citing national security reasons and the “vast amount of personal information” it contained.

More rubbish protecting countries that sponsor terrorism, that's it.

Help them in their homeland. Its simples

    it's not simples at all.
good intelligence is useless if they can only act when theres 13 dead bodies and over a 100 more in hospital. if they were under surveillance, then they were for a reason and you can be pretty sure, proper and adequate legal support would have seen these man locked up or deported ages ago.

people are obsessed with this word internment and going mental at it, though it does appear to only be left wing minded people that keep bringing it up as if its some for attack on all our freedom by having a tiny tiny minority of potential/probable scum convicted for terrorism offences.

i see very few people actually asking for interment and torture, what i do see however is people demanding laws to ensure that these people are able to be convicted before carrying out these crimes.

internet usage can convict people in other parts of life, why does this not apply to terrorism?

you can be convicted for enticing hatred on towards other races, se*ualitys etc, why does this not apply to terrorism?

even claiming allegiance in any form of life towards a terrorist group, should be made a criminal offence.

and so on and so on. at this stage, sitting on our hands and doing f*ck all apart from saying "no you, you cant be saying or doing that" is no longer acceptable.

Merkel and all her gutless buddies, have failed Europe. again.

    1. laws that allow people to be convicted before they cary out criminal acts all ready exist.
    2. internet usage does convict terrorists as it is, it's one way the security services are getting their information.
    3. such laws do apply to terrorism.
    4. claiming allegiance towards a terrorist group is a criminal offence. all though, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and all that.
Merkel and all her non-gutless buddies have not failed europe. we have to preserve our rights civil liberties and freedoms at all costs.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.
